It's sad but it is happening. All games I want to play now doesn't work on Vista x64. :(

I have been lazy and should have made this topic a year ago. Just thinking... thinking and thinking.

Well, all I actually need works but new games absolutely dont.

Nvidia also has silently killed driver updates a long time ago which really made me angry and still pi**es me off. Of course, all "speculation" from my side that they discontinued support for Vista because I saw no news, NOTHING regarding 'no support for Vista from now on'.

Recent games like CoDIW, Shadow Warrior 2 doesn't work.

I read Shadow Warrior devs only need to add one line somewhere (I am not that literate but most probably in .exe) to make it compatible with Vista but they purposefully chose not to.

Anyway, what to do?. (edit TOS violation removed text by moderator) I am not going to dish out any amount of money for any version/thing other than Windows 7 (64 bit only and if Ultimate, then good :p). Price can be discussed if someone here is willing to sell their genuine key. I am a poor guy.

windows 7 may be hard to buy now, as Microsoft has been, and still is pushing windows 10 pretty hard, and chances are windows 7 may undergo what happened to you with vista soon. One option is to be assimilated by the borg upgrade to windows 10 for a longer lifetime before everyone drops support for it. If that's an absolute no, options are going to get pretty thin, even more so if you have limited funds. (which is why I'd advise going with an OS that has a longer lifespan/newer)

There are plenty of valid OEM win7 pro keys being sold for 10$ each.
Just search for them on the big forums for sale sections.

If you can find what bill1024 mentioned above, looks like that would be your best (cheapest) alternative.

You're from Pakistan so your best alternative is to have a PayPal account and buy a legal Windows 7 key possibly through Ebay or another online source. Some companies will not ship directly to Pakistan and that will eliminate some of your options.

The post I made in the Hot Deals section has W10 at $20 to $25 CAD for Home and Pro respectively. G2Play is where I've bought numerous keys without issues.

I dont know. Win 7 is an upgrade for me. I guess it/you meant that I cant "put a disc in and upgrade directly". I dont care. I am least interested. I am gonna wipe everything off and do a clean install. That is how I work. This is not the topic here.

    Microsoft support

    Not interested.

Of course, have to tell me a way to pay you (western Union? etc? I dont know anything about all this).  Also enter list of some kind. I would be entered in it too, clearly. lol

juat go with windows 10  no reason to go with windows 7 now since Microsoft has no support for it anymore other then extended minimal support  Windows  10 Creators update is coming  in a few months  and that will be the  3rd huge upgrade  to windows 10  and is  Free   if you got windows 10 already  many new features and some improved gaming only features

All done and dusted. Got Win 7.

I have issues though which shouldn't really be written here but just mentioning.

1: Flickering of mouse. The "Working in Background" ring comes on consistently. Nothing like that on Vista.

2: Hard limit on Network/WiFi search/scan rate/interval. OH WHY DO YOU HAVE TO?. 8 seconds fixed. Nothing like this on Vista.
