Before I begin I would like to apologize if I come off as a noob.  I recently built my first rig and it was an awesome experience.  Although the one issue that's driving me up the wall is this tearing during the intro of games and now I noticed during game play when i turn left to right in a fast manor.  I'm running SLI EVGA 970s FTW's.  Any help would be awesome, thanks guys.

Disable v-sync inside the game, then open the nvidia control panel and set v-sync (smooth) on & enable triple buffering.

also set Nvidia control panel preferred refresh rate to Highest Available (for those on 120 - 144hz monitors) example: my VG248QE is 144hz
