    99% of that is artist driven. Your game title is only as good as your dev art asset monkeys. What annoys me is that they give a video and not a launchable tech demo download.

    +1   That's all they do anymore.... you get vids and clips of THEM playing it and they make sure its nice and polished up to look pretty. What good is that?!? Years ago you always got demos, first 2 levels maybe or a minigame etc.... I used to get CD's/Dvd's with multiple games and later on they started doing games AND useful great apps. The whole gaming industry has gone in the dumper and the first sign of that was when the UBI head started attacking gamers and publicly saying all pc gamers are pirates etc.... You would think they would have learned something from his ranting that the pirating they are worried about maybe just people demoing games themselves since they don't make demos anymore.

    Actually Unity is a horrible game engine.
     
    The way it randomly packages assets when compiled for example is a great example of why developers shouldn't use it because it makes patching utterly atrocious and needlessly complicated.
