bcavnaugh Not taking away from this Tread but will EVGA sale this for Non-FTW Cards? The vRam Copper Plate shown in this Image that is. Or is a V2 Hybrid Coming out?

Some of those parts aren't described in the instructions. I hope to find an installation walk-through soon so I'll know what I'm doing.

Now I will have to wait until Monday to receive my because it requires a signature and they won't let me get it delivered to my work place at all and I work from 6 am to 6 pm. Apparently I never checked it required a signature for delivery during checkout and wasn't charged that way but only charged for next day shipping. Why does it require a signature when I didn't even check it during my purchase?

It shouldn't require a signature just to get it as you have a option to do it and not be forced to use it. I won't even be home on Monday either as it will be the 3rd attempt and no one to sign for at all.

My 1080 FTWDT hits about 60c with 20c ambient temps. Contemplating whether I should pick this up or make my own AIO with a full waterblock. Modify an EK Predator?

Would it be too much to ask that the instructions be written by a person who actually knows how to use the English language, using the correct punctuation, instead of using a computer translator from whichever dialect they were originally written in? Loads up Blade Runner to brush up on my pidgin.

I also don't feel the instructions are adequate. Anyway to get a video or something. There isn't even a part list in the box...

This is my fear as well. The pictures might be helpful if they actually matched what they are asking you to do it that step. And at the end everything is magically put back together.

Yeah I'm not going to attempt it yet. Although gamer nexus has a hybrid teardown video which has helped me understand the instructions and parts better. Still not enough to give it a try though. Hoping someone puts out a vid soon

The thing I noticed in the teardown between the FTW Hybrid and the FTW is that the cutout is different, regarding the 4 tabs found on the FTW regular are not present on the Hybrid version. And there is no instruction on what to do with that midplate. I am assuming we just leave it off, otherwise we would either need to clip the 4 tabs or use a copper shim to seat the pump correctly.

I installed the cooler guys. The instructions aren't great, but it's not that bad once you get into it. Took me under an hour. Most of the screws you don't need because the ones you take out of the pcb will work. I didn't use any of the screws it came with. Haven't installed it yet,, waiting on noctua rad fan to come. I'll report back with performance results...

Just hooked up and ran bench with the stock fan. Temps during valley peaked around 43c and averaged around 40c. Only ran one bench so it could get a little warmer. Boost clock never dropped from max boost. The noctua fan should boost performance. I really couldn't hear it over the other case fans. Led worked great. Install went well, overall I'm very pleased so far. Might even go push, pull with noctuas and see how low I can get it ..
Edit: on air with aggressive fan profile I was at 65 plus degrees c. Almost a 25c drop in thermals...

You don't need any screws in the box. All the existing screws work. They are just extra in the kit. I put it in no problem and didn't use a single screw. I read the instructions a few times, and just did it. Probably took about a half hour. It wasn't near as bad as it seemed at first. The directions aren't great, but definitely adequate to get it done. Mine runs great...

I received mine last night and looked through the parts (I've read the instructions several times before). Does anyone know what these mystery parts are for? They aren't described in the instructions (which are sorely lacking) at all. Oh, and I should add that the second one isn't included in my kit at all.

The first one is tape to tape the header wires around the fan. (Look inside the shroud that came with it, you will see some in there) The second one I believe is supposed to be pieces of thermal pad to be situated somewhere on the underside of the pcb I believe.

Will there be an "aftermarket" solution like the hybrid kit for my 1080 Classified aswell? All I found so far are that old 780 Classified wb will work, however I dont want my wb for a 1080 to say 780 Are there not enough Classy owners to warrant production of aftermarket cooling for this card? //Calvin

relevance That is a nice setup. how much did it cost you all together including AIO kit and the block if you don't mind me asking. I already have a custom loop on my system, so it's ready to go once I get my block as well. just want to know the cost difference on $119 + $15 shipping vs EK AIO kit.

relevance any words on hydro copper kit for FTW?
This is the kit for FTW
This is the Hybrid Kit. The Hydro Copper Kit is a Full Cover Water Block for custom Water Loops.
This One is NOT for the FTW Cards.
Or this option from EKWB full AIO loop. I was able to use original screws and backplate.

The Predator 360 AIO is $219.99, The full cover block Nickel pre-filled is $165.48 plus DHL Express shipping to CA $32.00 for a total of $417.47 The whole thing arrived from Europe in four days. I think that's a bargain considering you will pay $260.00 for a Corsair H110 and EVGA Hybrid plus shipping. The EKWB setup will give you cooler temperatures. You can also add another card with the quick disconnects while keeping the 360 AIO.
