Hi everyone
im having an hard time with this gpu lately, when i play 3d games, after couple hours the image freeze and start this sound
it happened with:
batman ak
rise of the tomb raider
bf4 (happened after 1 hour playing, with other games happened after 2hr appromax.)

played to the moon and no problems.

temp. in game are fine(70/71° max.)
what could that be?

specs: i5 6500/msi m3/xfx 650w/8gb ram/evga 1060 sc
i have windows 10 64bit

i use optical audio,always.

have to say that, at the beginnin, that wasn't happening, from day to another it started, i tryied updating drivers but happens aniway.

Try doing #1 #2 & #3 listed here to see if it helps resolve the issue. How old is your psu?

    Welcome to the forums snello2009

If you have the Win 10 Anniversary update loaded -- kill the Xbox DVR - MS made it default to always ON

Can you turn up the speed of your case fans ?

Disable drive Indexing -- it is a resource hog.

    CPU temps ?

    Room Temp ?

Make sure you only load One sound driver - chose: MB, Sound card or Nvidia -- check in Device Manager

    thanks cool gtx!!
    no anniversary "thing" :P
i could speed up my case fan,but i don't think it's a temp problem,i mean when i game i get 71° max on the gpu and 60° max on the cpu (cpu stay's on 55/56 for 90% of the time) room i have no idea

about the driver i just disabled the nvidia virtual audio etc.... (the high definition was disabled and the problem camed anyway) .now im gonna try play a bit,i made clean boot too.

The card is probably defective. I had that issue with one of my 1080s.

nothing,i tryied uninstalling all audio drivers,i kept only realtek one(from mobo) since i use optical and nothing,im doing some backup and ill try a clean installation on w10.
i had an amd card before this(i cleaned with ddu ovviously) but windows resinstalled amd hd audio drivers 2 days after i cleaned up and put the 1060.don't know why,i noticed that yesterday...i uninstalled but nothing changed, maybe there is a conflict somewhere, with a fresh install it shouldn't be anymore,i hope.
ill let you know guys, thanks for help.

alright, soo i made a few tests and the problem seems to be the bios.
i had late 2015 bios ,never updated,so after i flashed the 27 july 2016 bios it looks like the problem is gone..
seems like, cause i played batman for 2 hr and nothing happened, same thing with bf1 beta,2hr and all good.
let's hope that was really that !
