Graphic card problem help me plllllllllllease

Hello i have just had a pc built for me the components are
 
Asus z97 p Motherboard
Intel i5 cpu
6gigs ddr3 memory
850 watt psu
evga geforce 970 graphics card
windows 10 operating system
 
But i have a major problem with the graphics card the drivers that i am using either from evga and nvidia arent working ive tried everything that people have told me to try im now thinking of changing the card to a nvidia geforce 1050 ti what do people think or is there something i can do to get the 970 running any help would be greatly appreciated

    What problem are you having? It's not clear from your post.
     
    If you can't install Nvidia drivers, check what Windows 10 version you have by clicking the search bar and typing in "winver" (no quotes) and press enter. If you don't have Windows version 1511 or newer you need to update Windows. The reason for that is that with new Nvidia drivers you can't install them unless you have an updated version of Windows.

    Sorry windows doesnt recognise the card at all and when i play my online games my fps is only 10 and runs really choppy

    Just wanted to check, is it possible you are using the onboard video output from the motherboard instead of plugging into the graphics card? 
     
    I am not implying that you don't know how to connect cables to your PC, just trying to cover all the trouble-shooting bases...
