Like many of the rest of you, I work in the hideous retail world.  On concrete all day long.  I am 40 years old, and about 250 lbs.  My poor feet are killing me after a few hours, no matter what shoes ive purchased in the past.  Just ordered a pair of Gravity Defyer shoes, and gonna try those out.  Anyone know of, or had experience with these, or of any other high end shoes for just this purpose that they are completely thrilled with.
 
I am sure I am not the only one here curious about this.  Concrete all day can damage ankles, knees, feet, and cause a whole host of issues.

Yesterday I worked 11 hours running heifers through, standing and walking the entire time. I was wearing hog/mud boots.

I wear Wolverine boots with gel pads. They keep the cold away from your feet cause they have that thinsulation in them and there oil resistant, water proof, shock resistant, steel toes, sweat wicks, etc...  Hands down the best boots ive ever owned!! Makes timberland look like they make grandma slippers!!

Last few pair or wolverines I owned I hated, 10 years ago i loved them but they just dont last like they used to.
 
Right now i wearing Red Wing 2406's and its the best boot i have ever wore. Had them 2 years now and still comfortable. I do concrete construction so the best foot wear is a must, pay the premium for some good boots your feet will thank you.

Just bought me some reebok zigwild TR2 shoes... I have to walk a lot at work. The sketchers I currently have are nice as well... like walking on marshmallows. They are called sketchers flex sport.

As odd as it sounds; Israeli I.D.F boots. I've been buying them for years, they are the only footwear I buy, best boots I have ever owned. I get them through an importer in downtown Los Angeles.

You have a red wings boot store nearby? They're pricey, but they saved my life when I was on my feet all day.

Just thinking outside the box, Are you stationary while at work? If so, why not consider purchasing a thick rubber mat?

arch supports arch supports arch supports... helped me tons. then again you might just be getting to old for it. I know I am... hehe

I appreciate all the suggestions.  If the ones I ordered don't work out i'll give the non-boot suggestions a shot.  I hate boots.  Just not for me.  Any kind of boots.  Just a personal preference thing. 
 
If the gravity defyers happen to be rather kick ass, ill post back here.  Should hve them around wed or Thursday.

i'd wear tennis shows in a second if I could climb and stand on latters in them steel shank in arch is a must for me and slick bottom shoes so I don't track mud in peoples houses,some people make me take shoes off boots are a pain to take off and on!!!

Newbalance with lateral support, look at the 1765's, 928's, or better yet go to a NewBalance store. They have a scale/sensor to help our with insoles. And if ya need custom orthotcis or not.
