No need for snarky comments. Step ups are a nice service they provide no other manufacturers do, just gotta be patient. Some cards stocks are less than others. What card are you steeping up to?

I feel for those that wait for such a long time as I'm in the same boat and just recently I might add. But posting snarky comments at evga gets us where?.
My 980 ti FTW(possibly currently problematic) will do all and then some for what I bought it for until a change occurs. Who knows, I/we might be stepped up to a ti come spring :)
