Wanted to go at least once in my life to Hawaii, and we are finally going. My wife, the two kids, and myself will be going to two Islands. The Big Island, and Oahu. There will be something for us to do every day, which is nice. One of the days is an 8 hour bus tour around one of the Islands which sounds nice too. Haven't been on a plane in many years. My kids have never been on a plane. Hopefully they don't freak out. LOL. Anyway, if anyone has been there, do you have any tips or suggestions? Like I said, we have never been there before. We are so excited. *EDIT: Cancelled due to my Wife's Mother passing away.

You got to go see the Arizona and visit Pearl Harbor. You should enjoy the bus tour. It was part of the visit to PH and the Arizona. We spent most of our time in Muai. Honolulu was nice but too many people for me on a vacation. The plane ride is long. Make sure the kids have plenty to do. Enjoy it. It is a really nice place.

I have been to Hawaii 7 times in my life and I think it is an amazing place. We had a family tragedy there when I was 4 years old, and even with that it never stopped me from going back. Headed back there in the fall. Have a great time!

Depending on the age of your kids and everybody's willingness to hike - the Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island is completely amazing! My wife and i spent a couple days hiking there (before we had kids) and enjoyed every minute!

^ +1. Also the observatory at Mauna Kea is awesome, and some great ziplining couple hours from Kona. amazing coffee, coffee tours. Kona pub and brewery. Have a good time!
