As long as registered within the first 4 weeks after purchase... you can "Step up" to the next model that comes out within 3 years. Hmm I definitely like the length of that compared to EVGA... however I'll buy a Gigabyte board myself.

For now... I'm thinking once they get enough interest, they'd move to other markets.... or at least that'd be the hope. However, we do have some EU members here I believe that could take advantage of this.

BUT, it's a start... and for those people who like to upgrade their mobos with every new iteration.... it's appealing.

Wondering if the 3 years is a misquote/ misinterpret & should have been 3 months ??   That would make a little more sense, wouldn't it ?

3 months sounds correct to me. 3 years would cover 2 or 3 chipset upgrades at the rate we've been going.

It's nice that you can upgrade to another product within 3 years but the terms as far as what you can get in three years to step up to isn't that clear to me.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

Based on the FAQs, it is limited to the Z97 Black Edition motherboards. They'll allow you to upgrade to its direct successor for free. If you want something better, they'll charge you the difference of the original purchase price and the suggested street price of the new board.

no it is NOT a misquote 3 years is correct, and you can rest assured that UNLIKE evga gigabytw wotn manipulate your registered products to avoid honoring warranty or step up.  don't know about the rest of you but I no longer buy or support evga after they manipulated my registered products to get out of honoring my warranty and I keep EXTREME close tabs on all my other evga products I still have with screen shots of my product page so evga cant f me up the rear again when it comes to warranty still on those product but as the warranty expires the evga products retire permanently for a more reputable vendor.  even asus is better than evga these days.  with that said last product I have still within warranty is my x58 classified 3 which has lifetime warranty although if it ever fails not sure what evga will try to do but I know it will most certainly end up requiring me to buy a new cpu and if I do ever have to rma it I wouldn't expect nothing les than an X299 ( because evga doesn have X399 which is what I have been working at moving towards for months now and am FINALLY close to having all the parts but damn really why are we getting bent over for used 1080/1080Ti, and 2080/2080Ti ( maybe because manufactures saw how much people were willing to pay for last gen when people couldn't get them and decided they wanted to get all that money instead of someone else making a profit above MSRP).

i am offended by your sig so you need to remove it.

I think it was a one time thing they ran since if it continued I would figure the brand would have got more interest from gamers. Now days if I asked a gamer what brand of motherboard I am sure Gigabyte would be in the list but probably below EVGA and Asus.

well these days after evga fed me over my choice for gaming gear is gigabyte, asus, asrock  I refuse to buy or support evga products in any capacity.  the ONLY evga product I still have and use is my x58 classified 3 which will be retired to a media machine which wouldn't get much use once I finally manage to get the rest of my parts for threadripper build.  when people ask me what I think of evga I tell them constantly take screen shots of registered products to make sure evga isn't manipulating your product pages to screw you out of warranty like they did me and I have screen shotted a pic of my last remaining e product for proof should e try to screw me again.

Gamers would pick GIGABYTE over EVGA when it comes to motherboards. GIGABYTE has a wider range of products to attract more customers. GIGABYTE offers more features at a lower price point. Did you know GIGABYTE has it's own factories. How many motherboard mfg can make that claim. Designing the motherboard is not the same thing as manufacturing it.

    Top 4 motherboard mfg:
    ASUS
    GIGABYTE
    MSI
    ASRock

It would be interesting to see a list that shows which factory each mfg uses.
