hehehe might pick up one of those swiftech universal waterblocks and see what I can do with it. Sorry guys but I bought the card just to bench and give to one of my friends whos been looking everywhere for one he needs a third and he is one of the people who shelled out around 500 for the first to so when I sell him one for 80 hell flip. He dosent beleave thats all they are worth now. Im sending a 8800gs back to xfx and im hoping they send back something else.

i thinking about it aye...... i have a plan for a fair dinkum aussie "cooler" lmao :)
ima pull the copper radiators out of an old aircon and put the in an esky of ice.
should pull the temps on the cpu down to about 10-15 underload :)

I am running Vantage runs... on a 8500GT. Do you guys have ANY idea how PAINFUL it is watching from 0-3 fps?? I am used to watching my 295.

Like I said I gave up I got a few 05 runs in I forget what else. Thats the card I rigged a waterblock on and got the gpu around 19 at load and it did no good, like jon said you have to flash the bios to get decent clocks. Thats another card alot of people hardmodded so its tough to get a decent score unless you break out the soldering iron

Is there a step-by-step for that? I heard you can just change the values of Rivatuner to have higher max clocks, but I forget where to do that. I read it somewhere a few days ago, and I wish I saved the link! grr!

hummm... i used nibitor to changes some things on a 9800 gt
but that rivatuner things sounds like the bet if you can find the info.

I could be wrong but rivatuners sliders are most likely the same as evga's they are set in the bios you need to either set the values manually or flash a superclocked bios onto the card. Make sure you have the most recent precision. I gotta pass out but recently when my cpu fails a test Ive been getting a grey screen similar to when the gpu freezes not really sure what to make of it. The grey screen is a known bug in the catalyst 9.12 drivers that was fixed in 10.1, but 10.1 drivers are not whql ?????????

I got the clocks to be able to slide much higher, but they won't apply. Checking with GPU-Z and the clocks stay stock.

you can run it, but you need to download some patch or dll file to make it work...
