temps are very important!  Cant give you the scientific reason, but they are the reason for the season...

Temps will change the properties of the Silicon ever so slightly. When you use LN2\DICE you lower the temp which Im assuming lowers the electrical resistance of the silicon which allows for better OCing. Thats the conclusion that I came up with. No idea if im right or not, but it makes sense.

Just ordered my rad, tubing, biocide and a butt load of screws. The longest set of screws that came with the EK rad said 35mm and ill be ordering 35mm thick Ultra Kaze's so I didnt want to chance it. Got 32 to future proof me for 8 fans on that rad.

I think Ill have the coolest CPU in town. That rad will only be cooling my i7 only for the time being.

Crappy Silver one but I dont think ill be mounting it inside my case. The black one is out of stock, but for $14 you cant really go wrong.

Far from Tundra, the rain shadow effect hits us hard here in Washington state. Its not even supposed to get below freezing tonight

Im going to talk to my dad about what kind of insulation he can nab from his work, if any.

Right now the Dew point is above the outside temp, which is a whopping 45f, so I could probably find a day to throw the rad out the window, or the entire rig without insulating and get better temps. With such a big rad running on just my i7 the delta should only be 3 or 4 degrees C.

I think by the time I get everything setup the way I want it and all the stuff I need to do cold temps, all the cold weather will be gone

I finally got some time to bench today. We had a half day of school, so that helped.

I got 2 5th place ribbons on the bot, and that was with stock gpu clocks on the 2x 8800gs's, and my q9300 at only 3ghz (its stock 2.5). I got some points too, for a few other things besides the ribbon entries.

My max valid i was able to get on the 750i FTW with the q9300 was 3.6ghz, which is 480fsb, which for a 750i is pretty good. I wonder what the q9300 can do on the DFI P35 board?

Still benching though.

Ya that guys out of control I got some new equipment coming next week hope I can do a little damage.

Hahaha. That looks exactly like what I have in mind.. That rad and all. Except I'm gonna use the MCP655 - $64.99.. And the HK v3 LT. I think you'll enjoy all that though.. It'll be like cooling christmas.

I booted 240 today but couldnt validate in time. Wish I had some money marcam has a real good chip for sale.

boot lower and use elleet (or buy one of those evbot thingys) to raise it up.  booting at 240 is incredible.  226 is about my boards boot limit

yea I got a program called turbo v thats similar to eleet let the I got some work to do now man my vid card is 20 mins a way at a ups depot thats closed AHHHHHHH I have to wait untill tuesday.

I would try to get a hold of someone and see if you could pick it up.
