You know what bugs me about the HW bot thing, why do they disable the PPU.  I specifically bought Nvidia cards because they HAD phys-x.  Let ATI come up with something for their cards.  If that give Nvidia an advantage, then wouldn't that make ATI try to develop something to combat it?

The reason is simple. Futuremark does not support PhysX via the GPU. All Test and PhysX is run CPU. That's why hwbot doesn't recognize it. Now go back and do all those Vatage runs right!

orb use to take physx enabled, but since all the ati people couldn't run it..it was a big ole mess with the scoring. so orb elected to drop physx in the interest of justice(so to speak) not sure if that influenced how hwbot did their scoring for vantage...remember..3dmark06 uses some form of physics as well...not sure why it works better for ati here than with vantage...
anyone with any input would be welcomed.

When Vantage first released, FutureMaek implemented the use of PhysX via the CPU with the use of Ageia drivers. Its original intent was to use the CPU as PhysX because majority of ppl did not have an Ageia PhysX card but the was some level of PhysX withing the programming. At that time this was supported by both ATI and NVIDIA. But later on NVIDIA changed the playing field for Vantage by buying up Ageia then implementing PhysX via the GPU as well as the CPU. This in turn skewed the results of which FutureMark still does not support. It will accect the runs for the data base but legitimate runs are still recognized as those using the default CPU PhysX.

with windows 7 and a small hack...ati can now run physx..via...nvidia card addon..(rotflmao) and they dont seem to do half bad either..

Yeah. I've had several runs with CPUZ and such were bonkered from CxE and such. Just one of the many little obsticles we run into as an overclockaholic.

Could have been worst, but the idea is to have everything running on plain water all the time, and only running the chiller during benching. 

I like that idea.  I think I'm going to start tinkering with my 12,000 btu a/c unit.  I really want to convert it to a chiller, but I'm going to have to learn alot.  I'm a numbers guy, I usually leave the hvac work to the pro's!

So i got my 920 today from EVGA. It's a D0 batch 3950A421. Any of you know anthing about this batch or one near it? I coudn't find anything. Also, what are your guys's batches?

Great!  You bought it from evga?  I didn't know they sold cpu's.  My batch is 3913B222.  The sweet spot is 217.  Sometimes 218 will work , but mostly not.  219 worked once for me on two 3dm06 runs, but I've never been able to get it there again.  I Think my cpu is about average as far as 920 D0's go.

i was trying to get that same ram from frys, but they said it's discontinued. i was going to use it as back up ram. i ended up getting the patriot 1600 mhz

Here's the same stuff I use. Can do 2.36ghz at 9,10,9,1t with 1.68v.
