Here is the Megahalem: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835242001&cm_re=prolimatec-_-35-242-001-_-Product Here are it's specific dimensions: http://www.prolimatech.com/images/3d_drawing.png I essentially need to know the dimensions between the socket's front edge on the Classy and the ram slots. You use the red slots first, correct? So i need the dimensions from the front edge of the cpu socket to just before the first red ram slot. Also, knowing the height of some of this ram would be nice... This is what i have gathered from the above photo. The base is 42mm wide, and the whole thing is 74mm wide(thick depending on how you look at it). So I can assume that from the edge of the base to the edge of the cooler is 32mm. Then add the fan that is 25mm thick. So a total thickness of 57mm (lets say 60mm to be safe). So from the edge of the cpu socekt to the first ram slot needs to be less than 60mm. Could you also take a measurement from the back edge of the cpu socket to the vreg cooler? That looks like it might be tight too. (Needs to be <60mm also). Actually could you also do the other sides too? So from the bottom edge of the cpu socket to the nb cooler, and from the top edge of the cpu socket to the edge of the board. EDIT: I think i found my answers. This thread has some very nice pics to answer what i am asking: http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1453502 But actually i do still need one measurment. I need from the top of the cpu socket to the top of the board. I am worried that the Megahalems might interfere with my case (PSU is top mounted).

Just passed at same clocks with 1163mV. Btw, CPU is only at 3.78Ghz atm, I'll bring it up to 4.1 when I start running the full bench.

yea, confirmed with tech support. you can go SLI without the cable, but you will loose some framerates. Obviously NOT the desired application with me. It has taken me the better part of today to prep this single video card, and it would be so much easier if I didn't have to worry about the SLI ribbon cable. Now I just deal with it

I need a control group for this bong cooler. Who can tell me their non overclocked plain ol' water cooled, i7 920's CPU temp (not cores) idle in win 7 in a 75°F/23.6°C room? I have a 295 in line, but since my connections are parallel, I don't think their temps intermingle.
