I'll get over it.  Just wish I could get all that time back....would have NEVER spent the time if I knew in 10 days 90 points would all mean nothing.

Now just waiting for another cold night like we had on tuesday, 14F here.  That was fun, but had a few hours of false starts with the water freezing in my system  I'd be sitting there looking at the temps go from 7C, then 8, then 10......I thought "nooo...wrong direction".  I had to try & regulate the temps back up by shutting out the cold air and once it thawed back out in a few minutes, I would try a suicide run.  But then if things went wrong, I'd reboot, which would give enough time for ice to form again...amazing how fast it formed.

Windshield washer fluid did the trick.  Just a few syringes full was enough to stop the freezing and get me close to 46k

Two 5870's. I won't go with the 5970's b/c of the low overclock ceiling they have versus my 5870's. My third 5870 is to be here shortly though. Doesn't matter though b/c I'm out of LN2 with no fill-up til mid of next week.

Where do you buy that stuff? (LN2)

Q, you know how you said you lost a ton of points? Check the Bot and see if you got some back. There was another update to the points system today. They decided to give points to the top 50% of people in hardware categories, instead of what they first set it at, which was top 33%.

Yea, I did get some back, but not even close to where I was before.  I 'll just have to accept the new algorithm.  What I really don't get is their logic of giving significantly more points to single gpus V. multiple GPU's.  They say once more folks post results for multiple gpu's the point values should go up.  But who's going to chase low point values just to hope they go up in the future, especially since most users only have single cards.  We really got hammered on the quad 295 vantage scores.  IMO, these are arguably harder to achieve, but worth considerably less points compared to an equivalent single card run.  It's amazing to think that if you achieve a WR in vantage, or any gpu bench for that matter, that it's not really worth jack at the bot.  Gotta go single card...and LN2 to compete in that category, or work twice as hard to gather the "second tier" multiple gpu points.

But on to better things.......  John shot me some CPU suggestions to try.  Cpu is key right now to my continued vantage success.  Hard to believe I've been benching these cards for almost a year now...1/25 is their anniversary.

John, what you did on a chiller is still top notch in my book.  I never was much into the bot, until you guys got me into it.  I will defiantly be more involved this year with it.

John got me into the bot.  Over the summer he would say, "now flip off physx and do another run".  When I saw him scoring in the top 20 in vantage, I thought hey, we ain't to shabby here at team eVGA!

I finally broke 46k!  Also, finally got physx running good too (check out that cpu score!).  But of course you get cpu running good, then gpu starts to suffer.  Got there the hard way, but there nevertheless.  Thank you Jesus!  l

what is your gpu score at now for single.

those numbers are looking real good!! and with the lower cpu voltage.
if the gpu is stable at it's over clock...then what you do now is up your qpi by 1mhz the run cpu test 1 only. pay attention to the code it gives if or when it crashes.
if it competes..then try to run the whole thing right after. some times you will need to reboot then run the test. as you work up to 4608 mhz your scores will go up.

grrr, i should have gotten around to running that test with the 190.56 drivers. i ran it with the 186.18
