I think the thing is, my computer is never stable enough to download anything. Its only on long enough to complete a run, and submit it, or its on until it crashes.

right about now...i can sort of relate...haha
my board has taken a turn for the worse...so i will end up having to rma it.
doing that now.
as for staying stable...you need to have a usb netcard. it will stay active all the time. this is what i use.
plus i have the laptop running as well. download to it then network to the benching machine or just download str8 to it.
also...use eleet to lower your over clock a few mhz and then go online. also drop gpu over clocks since they work on the fly without crashing.

Well i've been more active in this thread lately, but without much benching. I am waiting for my friend to give me back my monitor that goes to my benching and folding rigs, and then i will be back at it. I won't be getting a ton of points like you guys, but with some of the older hardware i have for becnhing, i think i can get some points for us. (I actually still need to sign up for EVGA's HWBot team. lol).
Oh, and a very Merry Christmas to you all! (and happy holidays too, if you don't celebrate Christmas.)

Well before i let my friend borrow the monitor, i was on air. But that was prelimanary testing. Muhahaha...I should be on DICE sometime this winter break, before i go back to school (the 4th). Covince your mom to let you do DICE. I'm only 16 and my parents are letting me. If they still say no, once i post up pics of me doing it, then show them, and be like, "That kid is around my age and using DICE, so i should be able to too." lol. Just an idea. But what i have to bench are a P4d 915 and a P4 660, with an ATI x600xt, but on a DFI LP UT P35 T2RS...a nice socekt 775 benching board. I plan to get some more chips for benching on it too. I might also pick up a REX from Vokl in the marketplace; he has it on hold for me until after Christmas, so i know my situation better. I plan on probably skipping the i7 generation, and waiting for the 32nm refreshes and new procs to come out, to even upgrade my main rig. I am a junior in HS, and i think i am going to do a big upgrade to my system near the end of senior year, just before i head off to college.
Anyways, i probably won't be on too much today or tomorrow. I have a big family party today, and then tomorrow, just gonna spend time with the fam.

Right now DICE isn't a huge deal.. I'd rather wait at the time anyways so that I can start DICE on a D0 or possibly a Gulftown. I don't want to waste it on my C0. And I'm probably gonna pick up Win7 Pro soon for $30. I just need a drive to put it on, I don't really want to put it on my 1TB, I want a SSD for it. Now I would like to use DICE on my 295.. But oh well. I'm waiting for all the new stuff to come out anyways. The stuff I have to bench is:
GTX 295 (Dual PCB)
i7 920 C0
X58 3X SLI (Non-Classified)
OCZ DDR3 1600
So I'll wait. My mother thinks DICE is "Too expensive" or else "A gift that keeps on giving"... lol. I'm a Sophmore in HS, turning 16 on the 3rd of January. But yeah, I'm also taking today off from benching, and probably tomorrow as well.

I've no idea how I did it! It was the first time I ever ran '01 and it didn't seem high so I didn't get a validation link, but I got the screenshot. Since then I've been getting 89k solidly.
