I'm back!!!!!  Just fired 'er back up with the PSU I have in my wife's office computer. mobo, both vid cards, HDD's...all fine. Thank you Jesus! I'm one lucky man. It was the main PSU that let go.....it must have been on it's last leg for awhile now. That's why the gpus red lighted all the time. They started to do it again tonight and shortly therafter...POPPPPP!  This little 750w PC Power & cooling PSU is handling everything fine . It even has 2 eight pin pci-e connectors. I'm not gonna push it though. Gotta get up in 3.5 hrs...see ya!

But I don't consider it hers....everything electronic in my house, I consider to be mine..all mine Any recommendations on a new PSU? I'm thinking PC P&S, but which one? I think you guys had a discussion on this a few pages back..I'll go look.

Teach you how to get to 229? I can't really do anything in 229 without 'extraordinary' cooling methods. if you got the 500, then get the 1200W PC P&C. You may not need all that power now... but sometime in the next 7 years (their warranty) you just may  if not, just find a single rail.

Thanks, the more expensive one has the esa (599). The label on it says peak power 1400 w (110A), while the label on the 499 model say peak @ 1300w (100A). Could this account for the price dif, or is the price dif because of the useless esa? 599 PSU 499 PSU

The last image hasn't come thru yet, but your point is a good one nate. Sometimes it's not all about cpu frequency. You might even see a drop in your cpu score if you go higher. Man that was one blistering physx run....I bet you could hardly believe your eyes watching that sucker. And when it didn't crash, you probably jumped through the roof!

this stuff is split up into many different things.and you have to bench it as such.
the 240 + bclk is in it's own category
linx stable is in it's own category
benching vantage is in it's own category
and so on...
