Btw Q, I saw you got 1080Mhz core on Donta's    285    FTW? Very nice. LN2 run I assume.  Edit: 280.

I just hit 1100 core last night in '06.  I was sitting with a score that was good for third and had enough LN2 for one run ...maybe.  I really had to conserve and left temps go way warmer than usual.  Enough for second, just missed #1 by a few

Thank you for the amazing post,
I have a question though ive been searching everywhere i can and think i know the answer but want to verify for an x58 classified style motherboard.

When condensation proofing the processor specifically for an x58 you put the dielectric grease in the pin holes for the processor but the x58 is kinda backwards in the fact that the pins are on the motherboard.  do you fill the pin area with grease?  im doing my research for a new water system that uses the boreas chiller from coolit systems and radiators but dont want condensation any where near my mobo.  expected water temps of about 5c so need some protection.

yea SERIOUSLY?!  I have been down there since LAST YEAR.  I haven't touched LN2-next month might be a year.  Since then I made my CNC machine, made a bunch of X58 Micro blocks, SR2 blocks, and now starting up building a brand new CNC milling machine which will have more then 3 times the usable space then the one I have now.  Also the accuracy will be infinitely better.  I will be able to engrave logos and such in any block I make.

I originally just stated taking orders to support my OC habit.  Now this CNC thing doesn't give me the time to OC.  I have an SR2 board sitting at my house since they first came out, and I haven't even POWERED IT ON YET.

Take a weekend, go get some LN2 and have some fun!

Side note: Gonna be pulling my 295 next week, I picked up a 9800GTX+ for the other rig, so HC 260 SLI is going in mine.

No worries, you will have the trophy a while.  Then maybe one day you will wake up some time down the line and decide to look at your trophies... and one of them tarnished a bit... and turned to silver ;)

speaking of the 295s.. Any suggestions on getting 1300+ VRAM to pass vantage? Increased voltage/decreased GPU speed doesn't seem to help.

Luck of the card.  But if I remember correctly your card does 1270+ right?  That's real good for 295, in fact, one of the best.  You can drop core clocks, but that kinda defeats the purpose.

Ok, John, you can have Nate's 295, If he'll sell it to ya, but I have dibbs on Halo's

Hahaha yup Q that you do.

And IIRC it maxes at 1276. Is that really one of the best? Damn. If you're ever in FL Q, let me know and we can get together and play with it.

I'm actually going to pull it off of my rig sometime in the next week, and throw in the 260s. My 295 is gonna go in a glass box on a shelf.(Ideally, if not it'll go in it's box, or just on the shelf.)

and http://www.overclockers.com/overclockers-joe

We started yesterday and are benching today and tomorrow too,  but i was so into benching yesterday that i didn't get time to post here, lol. I'm not benching right now, but am probably gonna start up soon again.

It's been awesome so far, but other people have already killed lots of hardware. Our forum admin though hit 7ghz valid on an phenom ii 980 though. Various other decent results have been had to. We'll probably all post our results after the party.
