that board looks awesome...to bad it took to long to hit. once sbe 6 and and 8 core chips hit...that board will be obsolete. in extreme circles only though.

So, i've been testing some micron d9 ddr2 kits yesterday and today. My Ballistix 16fd5 kit with 2.4v : 700 cas5 at 2.4v for 32m. Pretty damn good if i say so myself.

Wow didn't know how hot these 480's get even with DICE and a slim gpu pot I'm having a killer time keeping the temps down during load. Depending on which 3dmark / voltage I'm seeing anywhere from 0 to 24C load. For got to install my temp probe but I've got it in now, just to see what kind of temps on fighting closer to the gpu.

You should bench s775; it's fairly cheap, and lots of boints. (if you use dice/ln2 ) johnksss

benching, what else? Also, for s775 ddr3, micron d9's usually are best, but i have seem some people use hypers on the platform and get similar results. I guess they aren't the king, but they are about equal with hypers on s775 ddr3. I guess it all just comes down to how good of a kit you have, but for s775, d9's are awesome.

So apparently i used a bugged divider on my above 700mhz ddr2 32m run, so it was actually less than 700. Well, i remidied that; different divider, Ballistix 16fd5 700mhz at 2.54v for 32m and 2.4v for 1m.

Eh not that much. I've seen a few ddr2 kits that are actually rated for 2.5 or so volts. Also, i've seen guys using over 3v on ddr2, now those are some epic ram volts.

Guys, anyone near Philly and want to go to a benching party? OCF (my team) is having one, June 17-19. If you want to go, read more about it here: http://www.overclockers.com/overclockerscom-benching-party-philadelphia-pa-june-1719-2011/. It is $40 for team members, and is only $5 more for not being a team member, so if you can get there, even if you don't join the team, it will still be an awesome experience. You can also just get a guest pass, $5 for 1 day or $10 for all 3 days; you can help others overclock, just not use the ln2 on your own stuff. Nate, you're in Jersey, right? You should come, and show off some of your blocks (maybe sell a few ) and bench with us. Anyone else too should come! I should be making the trek from here in Chicago all the way out there; probably carpooling with some teammates that are near me. You guys should come if you can, it would be great to finally meet all of you guys here of the GIC crew in person.

Pretty sure it's yearly. The last one was in Texas, so it's not always the same place (or same time for that matter). Q56_Monster

An hour away, you should definitely come! It looks like we are gonna have somewhere between 540-720L of ln2 , depending on how many come. So $45 for you (and $45 for Nate) will get you access to all of that ln2 to freeze your hardware.

xxrabid93 nateman_doo Man, I don't even have CPU's I can use for this :( All I have is those 295's. I think I have exhausted my 920 & 759 classy. Our team is nice; you could probably borrow a SB cpu/mobo/ram setup to bench 3d with the 295's if you want and hopefully get near the top of the 295 list. Maybe even try and take down Q's scores. And on that note.. I really want an X58A-OC. I can push 220blck on my 960 with my E762 on water. I think under cold it could do higher, but it's probably limited by the board. I think with a R3E or X58A it could go way higher than on my E762. I must be missing something though, or it just wants cold. It runs 4400Mhz with 1.33V, and then I can't get above 4500Mhz vantage stable, even with up to 1.45V. (It has run 4800Mhz with 1.45V before, previous owner, and that was stable for benching.) I'm pretty confused by it. Anyone seen a chip behave like this before?
