Finally i got time and got the 2 tec cooler design done. Could definitely be more optimized, but it's more for reference. I will post pics up in a little bit.

Okay guys the official roster for the 411 forumwarz team has been posted. I will tell all of you here the same as I posted at 411. Please get a full set of safe speed OC benches posted up at 411 when I open up the OC scores thread. We do not need anyone using stock scores because they killed hardware already.

Ok, here is the 2 tec cooler for ya Halo. I am gonna put only thumbnails, as i uploaded the screenshots as 1920x1080 so you can see it the best possible. Here is the put together design. Yes, the two tecs are to scale, 62x62x4mm. Hot side and cold side inlet and outlets, tecs sandwiched in the middle of the two "loops." The total exterior dimensions, ignoring the piping in and out is 50mm thick, 150mm wide, 75mm deep. The pipes are for 1/2" ID tubing.: Here is the interior for each side. 1mm wide channels, 2mm high. The inlet is split to give the coldest possible water to both sides; paralell cooling rather than series.: Here is the top for each side. Slots into the interior for each side. It has dropped down interior, to force the water at high pressure through the channels. It does not go down to contact the channels, but is 2mm above them. I didn't want it too restrictive, but it should still keep pressure up b/c of the small opening through and above the chanels, even though the flow is getting split to both sides. Also, the trapezoidal shapes line up with the inlet and outlets, to gradually pressurize the flow, rather than have it immediately smashed into the channels. It should help keep flow up a bit without compromising pressure. Here is it all put together, but with hidden edges (basically interior design stuff) showing.:

Hmm, just fishing in the dark here.. 226W TEC x 2 = 452W i7 @ 4.5Ghz + GTX 295 800/1200 = ~400-500W I think, 2 of the TECs would give me pretty cold water. Ideally I would be able to go subzero, but I'd be happy with 10-40F. The problem isn't going to be the cost of the TECs, but the power they pull, and the block for them..

Nate, ya, the tecs are on the inside. I was thinking of it as an inline chiller. One side, the hot side, would be on it's own loop for cooling. The cold side would be inline in the loop with the cpu, gpu, etc. Bad idea? I have no idea, i was just kinda winging it. I can remake one with a different design if you or Halo wants.

Nateman this is the general idea. @ Rabid, I'd like inlet and outlet to be on the same side so it can go in a drive bay if possible.

So for the forum wars rules say 3x for 3Dmark 06 and vantage. So I run both as 3 times but I do not see how it can be verified as such. edit Does not show the repeat of 3 times anywhere.

Sorry for the confusion awalleyeguy, what that means is your 3dmark06 score gets tripled on the fw score calculator. For example, if your 06 score is 20k, it counts as 60k towards your overall total. So stop trying for 3 runs and get your best single run in!

Joey is correct. I would prefer everyone to get a set of scores in that are run with a pretty safe OC so that we have something to fall back on in case anything were to happen to your hardware. After that, I would like everyone to go for high OCs and get a set of scores from those. I would prefer people not to have lots of score updates, but if need be that is okay.

*snip*
Wow lol. You basically did what i did in a few hours, in probably a few minutes, albeit much simpler. Also, the reason i did inlets and outlets on opposite sides was to have the tecs being cooled in parallel. What you want would be cooling in series, which would be less efficient... You could always mount it vertically in the drive bays so the inlet would be near the top, and outlet near the bottom. Though that would take up multiple drive bays. nateman_doo
So is the purpose of this to cool liquids, or is it going directly on a block?
Yes, Halo explained it in the below quote. Do you think that will be effective? Halo_003
To chill the liquid in my CPU/GPU loop.
Like this:
Loop 1, the chilled loop. Pump-->cold side of TECs block, chilled water comes out-->CPU block--> GPU block--> Pump
Loop 2, hot loop. Pump-->Hot side of TECs block, removes heat-->Rad-->Res-->Pump
Yep, that's how it is planned.

I don't think you can change the order, but i was thinking about using hotkeys for Afterburner profiles for different tests. How much of a difference in clocks do you think there really would be between tests? I have been testing my gtx480 only right now, as i know how my q6600 overclocks (so i should be able to just slap on my settings for the proc and run the benches after i find max 480 clocks). I am still tweaking/pushing, but right now, my 480 passes vantage at 850 core, 1050mem, at 1.075v (stock 1.063), and passes 06 at those same setting except on stock volts. What do you guys think the most volts i could pump my 480 safely on air? With the 1.075, max temps in Vantage were only about 74*C and that is with a custom fan profile curve, not 100% all the time (i think it peaked arond 80% fan speed during tests).

Put fan at 100%, up voltage until you start hitting around 85C, then you should stop, and Get It Colder.

Sounds good, i will try that for the voltage. For getting it colder, my plan was to bench in the garage, for cold air, but it has been warming up alot recently.
