If you submit an eleet file for cpu-z validation, the result is the same as using the cpu-z program.....you get a validation code. I would think it's ok, but better ask in 411, or TRP.

only thing about eleet is...it wont show your voltage...but it will work for validation.

Yeah best just to stick with the 2 instances of cpuz, 1 showing cpu and one showing the memory tab. Just to avoid any kind of problems later, lets follow the rules to the letter.

Okay so whats the best way to insulate a HK v.3 cpu block? I used eraser before and the condensation was coming through. I tried putting the frostking foam over the eraser and that didn't work so well but it could have been my method. I was kinda experimenting at the time and didnt really give it a good effort. What do you guys do?

I tried putting the frostking foam over the eraser and that didn't work so well but it could have been my method. I was kinda experimenting at the time and didnt really give it a good effort. What do you guys do? Try using masking tape on your block covering the copper/metal, with armaflex not frostking over the tape. Armaflex sticks better and should hold to the tape really well. Make sure you don't have any gaps between the block and the eraser around your cpu. I find it best to use paper towels with a hole in the middle cut out for the CPU placed over the eraser or a 4x4' armaflex cut-out. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Armaflex: http://www.homedepot.com/...51&catalogId=10053 Also its important after all this to make sure you still have good contact with the block and CPU. Do the paste spread test drop a pea size or small dot in the middle of the CPU mount the block tighten it down and pull it back off to make sure the paste spread over the CPU. Hope this helps.

☄ Helpful
lol i just use my finger and call it a day. that way i know for sure it's covering the whole cpu. then i set the block back on and turn it right and left a bit to get a nice seal. then put the screws in but not all the way tight. i then turn on the phase or if it's the water chiller, i turn the valve to let the ice cold water into the block. i turn on the pc and go strait to bios. and then i start fine tuning the screws for best results.(just me of course)

Haha I usually do a dot of paste the first time I prep something just to make sure before booting the rig. For something like a chiller or SS they don't change much so not much need to worry later down the road. When I do DICE I check the mount everytime lol it's annoying but every bit of -C means I might be able to overclock it that much higher I agree the bios tuning is very helpful, but I get lazy with my chiller and don't do it every time.

Thanks for the info guys. I was thinking the armaflex might be better. CPU temp has been down to -18C in bios and the cores were at -4 to -7 in realtemp with no sign of condensation. Thats with running the chiller off and on. Mother nature is of coarse helping out right now with the cold and dry ;)
