Nate, you better get going...even the co-ops are beating your quad-sli score now.  You get the tim fixed on that other 295 yet?

well, Q should re-word it- that 980X is beating my quad SLI score ;)  not the co-ops beating my hamburger cards.

No prob...I'll reword it.  The 980x is beating the scores.  Technology changes quickly, so even with a good 920 & LN2, folks might still be behind the pack.  It's crazy to think!  I think it's a game changer....if only it were cheaper.  But then again if it was a lot cheaper, Intel wouldn't sell another quad core i7, 5, or 3, LOL!

I just hope the 480 is just as surprising....I don't feel good about it though.

Moderately happy with these results, well, except for wprime those sucked terribly in efficiency.  What i was really excited about was breaking the 6ghz barrier and sub 7s 1m run barrier last night!

I know my ram is killing me but this chip will not go over 210bclck with a 2:8 multi  when i dropped it to 2:6 i was able to get up to about 232x27.  the previous owner of this CPU told me the same thing, he had to drop to 2:6 to get past 6ghz.

And thanks for the congrats guys, I was ecstatic when i finally dropped below 7s

Hmmm... Still might stay with my 295 for a while. It scores as well or about as well as the 480, and I could get DICE pots for CPU and GPU for less than a 480.

Isn't he running dual xenon's on SR-2?  Once the cpu is cranked up, GPU scores should surpass 27k.  Looking better....the slow leaks are excruciating.  Why can't they (Sham/the P|n) just put it to the real test.

I should be able to keep this setup for as long as its cold outside . My monitor\Keyboard\Mosue are still on my desk, just on the other side (its an L shaped desk).

So far temps are in the low 20's and its still 6:30PM

You need better insulation under the board, or you need to Plasti-dip your board.

You need to clean your windows man...  I would just worry about the outside elements, and blowing moisture directly on your board.
(BTW, hose clamps are re-usable and pretty cheap)

Just getting started with this A/C to chiller conversion.  I appears I'll have to unbolt the whole unit from the base in order to free the evaporator so I can contain it in a cooler.  Does that seem right?  Also the blue round fan in the middle should be permanently removed right?

yup, just hold a hacksaw blade to the stem while the fan is on and it will make quick work of it.  If you just take it off, the fan shaft might stick out more then you would like it too.  You don't have to unbolt the compressor.

NO. Only remove the fan on the EVAP ONLY. The condenser will get hot, so it will still need the fan in order for your evap to get the lowest possible temps.

Hard to tell which is the condenser\evap though from just the pic.

He only has the evap fan circled.  You must be looking through that window of yours.
Its quite easy to tell which is the evap, and which is the condenser in the pic.  The condenser has the fan that is not a squirrel cage..

The seal on the window is broken (Double pane, im sure you have those in New Jersey as well). We are waiting for it to get a bit warmer to get it re sealed.

Working on getting worm drives too.

q while your in the building stages you might want to pick up a high flow block if you dont have one already I used a swiftech and im pretty sure it really stifled the performance of the chiller. I read somewhere that enzotech actually makes the block with the highest flow rate, not the best heat dissipation though but that shouldnt matter a whole lot with a chiller hooked up to it. I think?????
