yeah, not sure what cards you have been benching but intel favors ati just like ati favors 3dmark06 over nvidia and nivia use to favor vantage over ati, but since the 5k series that all changed drastically. nvidia favors certain games over ati. and so on and so on.

dont get me wrong..the 980 is kicking but! and at 3d it's doing the same...not sure what to make of it with nvidia though....waiting on some of the top's to re run those.

seems q56 was losing points in his 3d gpu benches..sure hope this is NOT  a trend!

Don't worry John...go ahead and buy that 980x.  It'll do great with nvidia cards.  There is still ALOT left to do.....all room temperature, ambient water cooling only.

Seriously...the temps are all over the place 13c, 38c, 78c, 5c.  Whatever....if it says 101, I give it some more juice!

LOL...Until you realize that your temps are in the 100's! (which wouldnt surprise me at those volts\speeds)

Your lucky I got a crap 295 or that 47K would have been smashed a long time ago!  Q is just a slacker that he didn't build a chiller.  I think his setup would crack a 47K.   I am surprised he hasn't done it already.  Oh wait... AMBIENT ROOM TEMPS.

LOL, hey I have to fully explore this chip before I put it under better cooling.  I think it's great that I can do 4.7ghz without extreme cooling, don't you?  Don't you think it's good to know what the 980 can do on just regular water?  47k should be doable, as this was my 2nd run last night after I figured out my OC's again.  I mean look at the low GPU OC and still almost 47K. 

Every night I look at the A/C, and then I look at the 980, and say naaaa, I'm benching!  Don't worry Nate, all good things come with time.

My 980 is kinda strange.  It's OC characteristics are changing daily.  What was stable for benching is no longer.  Seems to want more and more vcore as the days go by.....same ambient temps, but a little more humidity last night.  Nothing drastic, but much different than the 920 & 960, which settled on a vcore and never varied much after that.

Seems there are world record points at HWbot now.  I just got 5 points under a world record category.  Maybe for being in the top 20?

I hate these, I usually just get messages about me loosing points on my 5870 score. I guess more and more people are taking advantage of the 10.3 drivers. Dang, I was hoping I was going to be the only one to take advantage of the ~800 point boost I got

Same for me. That's why I only have like, 4.3 points I think. Looked at an AM3 setup yesterday but went nahhhh.. 480's and a 980 is coming. And DICE. (Although I suspect it may not be a 980, just another 920 or a 960.) Not sure though, it depends on when it is as to what it is.
