What am I doing wrong, I replaced my non reference fan model 5870 with a regular one that also has voltage control, and it does not clock as well as the other one with out voltage adjustment capability. Highest temp I get on anything according to GPUZ is 29c.

SniperOZ Q56_Monster Read my e-mail...saw futuremark's monthly newsletter and was surprised to see me listed as a top 20 all time submission for vantage performance preset (#19). Man look at #1 with 5870's! I guess that's "the" card right now. http://www.futuremark.com/community/halloffame/3dmarkvantage_performance/ Hay Q What about where you are in 3dmark06....#4... and #1 on CPU http://www.futuremark.com/community/halloffame/3dmark06/ Wow, i had no idea. Maybe I should look at that once in awhile. But, how can that be? I know plenty more '06 scores better than mine...how can I be #4? I mean I'm #6 on Modsrigs. Is it by account? Only your best can be listed...and only FM approved drivers.... Humm, I still can't believe #4!

Ha ha John thanks yeah it all boots fine i can boot in at -70 no probs but turbo is not on (even if its enabled in BIOS) then if i run the system and warm it up to around -45 -35 turbo kicks in and away i go but i need to keep it around -45 to use it, i then start the bench, drop the ice in cool it down and hopefully turbo stays engaged most cases it does but its a juggling act i can do with out.

Thanks Sniper. Moving xcool jumper sets cpupll to 1.8 overrides my setting iohpll auto is still 1.8. CPU temp says -47 (its not) Going to see if does anything to run mem any faster can run at 2300 or so already. And if I use eleete to change cpupll (bios does not change setting) system freezes.

Bios, Eleet, Realtemp readings are all off after setting extreme cooling jumper. Bios sticks at -43 to -47. Eleet and Realtemp will show cores at -8 or there about. I found them to be around 20c or so off from Evap readings. If Evap on chiller read -30c CPU temp would be between -5 and -10c. This is around the temps of the cores would change from -8 and start moving up. I found it a little difficult to get a true temp reading with jumper set. Using bios settings and leaving jumper in default allowed a little better sense of what temps were. Mode 1 with Vapochill worked best. Mode 2 would work best with DICE and Mode 3 works best with LN2.

When working with Extreme Cooling, Startup temps when jumper is set needs to be -20 or lower. If my temps were warmer than -20c I would experence boot problems. If I let the Vapo chill down to coldest temp then boot was no problem. Also setting Cpu latency and QPI compensation to Less also allowed for easier booting with extreme low temps.

Just passed 300 hardware points...guess I better start looking at how to get some more global points. I've benched everything but a E6850 cpu. I'll have to pull it out of my wife's computer... Try enabling C6. Under normal cooling it will sometimes give you the x22 multiplier, so it might help here. I just woke up this morning after having turned off my computer last night and left my window open. This is what I woke up to. Wasnt to bench or anything though. These temps are a good 12c lower than what they normally are during the day 55f in my room when I woke up!!
