apparently the one with the fan in the middle is not as good. they are basicly cost cutting for the fermi launch so they can drop the price when it comes out :S

Ok, so my cpu ain't a total dud. With 1.35v it is running @ 3.77ghz, did LinX 3 passes problem size 25000. Ya ya, i know, that's nothin'. But i'm still testing, this is just preliminary. Also, i think for it having a stock vcore of 1.27, this isn't too bad. I want 4ghz stable though, and maybe around 4.4ghz benching. Also remember this is all on air. I just have to keep my temps in check...

LOL, I passed you last night on vantage, then you passed me right back!  It's a good card, but man, I would expect to be able to get more than 2 days of benching with a new card...it's tapped out.  I mean I'm still benching my 13 month old 295's and still making headway for goodness sake!

Yea, my C0 was not a good clocker...could only get a little over 200 blck.  I bit the bullet and bought a D0 that's pretty good.  My new 960 smokes 'em all though....that's staying right where it is until Gulftown comes out.

If I'm not clocking at 4ghz on air, on auto, on the first boot, I know it's going to be a long hard road.

I got a PM a little over an hour ago asking if I would take 375 for both GPU's. Hopefully this deal wont fall through, this is a probably the most im going to get out of them

Any chance any of you guys have a cheap PCI-E GPU I could buy for like $10 or a bit more? I know one of you guys has a 5500FX or something, otherwise ill be GPUless for a month because ill probably be sitting on the money until Fermi.

What's a good blck for a C0 on air? When I try to do 218 it hard locks and I have to shut down manually, it doesn't even BSOD. 217 is fine though, I can validate that whenever I want.

I would give you my FX 5500 for free w/ shipping(Or without, depends how far you are) but it doesn't seem to work in 3d mode(Kept blacking out in 01, not sure what was up with it), and it has no stock cooler. Although I was getting so-so temps when I put an old P3 HS on it, when I say I put it on, I mean I hotglued it there, worked fine temp wise. If you want it PM me, and whether you need the HS or not, it's not attached atm, but I can reattach it if needed, just don't expect it to be a sexy card.. More like a ghetto mod.

EDIT: I also only did it to try in XP, never tried Win7.

Halo, 217 is a fantastic blck for a C0 in air.  My D0 that I used on all my runs up until last month, can only reach a benchable 217-219 (depending on how cold I can get it)....and that's on H2O!

You're doing great with that cpu

Can't bench higher than about 200 blck though w/ HT on though..

Btw, thanks to DraginElite I decided to test fit an SR-2 in my case design. With shocking results. http://forums.evga.com...528&mpage=6#216441

Nope. Still here.

I will have a Gigabyte EP45-UD3P, an e7400, and a 9400gt at my disposal tonight or tommorow, of course for benching. Our family rig gets hardly any use, so my parents gave me the ok to "downgrade" it. Going from the 3 things i mentioned to a Gigabyte 785g, Athlon II X2 240, and integrated graphics. It won't be much slower, which is good. Also, i essentially got the 3 things i mentioned for around $125 (the cost of the new stuff), a very good deal IMO. I can't wait to see what the UD3P can do with my quad. Gigabytes are famous for high fsb on quads.

LOL!  You'll have to find a regular 9800 GTX, not a GTX+.  There's not much point values, but it's fun to gather cups!  The guys that have them are pretty competitive.....I've been trading back and forth 1st place titles for 2 months now.

Lol I new that looked to easy didnt see yours wasnt a 9800gtx+

Yea, I ran right through it, one bench right after another, and picked up 5 gold cups.  I was in second place on most of them before anyway, so only picked up 0.5 boints on most of the runs anyway.

They may not hold for long so I might go back tonight and rerun them to put 'em out of reach for awhile.  I want to break 31k in 3dm06 (Tri-sli 9800gtx)!  Very doable as all my clocks were very conservative just to get through the six gpu benchmarks quickly.

No that was an error wrong cpu selected.

Aww...I was hoping it was true and the hwbot system just needed to catch-up.  That would have moved us up one more world wide ranking and put us at #40 (on page 2 of the rankings....I hate being on page 3!)
