I can get to Newark airport in 1 hour flat with no traffic. We make day trips to Spring Lake, NJ for some beach fun...takes about an hour 20min. I have some other friends in Montville and Wayne. I'm probably closer than you think.

Actually I think a benching party would be fun.. Ha we are spread out though. It's a shame. Besides, I seriously doubt either of my parents would approve. lol. If there was LN2/DICE there though.. It'd be mighty fun.  @ Reggie, I don't think you need a link. I've submitted without it before.

Must be a new rule because none of the older cards have links. The newer ones all do, the only reason I care is because if I didnt need a link I could switch to the ati 10.2 drivers and that adds like 300 points or more to a vantage score.

Bench party at my place!  I'm smack-dab in the middle of the country, right near Chicago. Halo, John, and Reggie, where are you guys at? If one of you is west coast, you guys could all fly into near me.  I doubt that'll happen though. Flying across half the country to have a bench party... I did have an interesting idea though. We could have a "bench party." What i mean by that is that we all set up webcams or whatnot, and we all get in a video conference with each other. That would be pretty fun. Don't know if that would do anything though. We would need to be able to communicate and see each other's stuff...
Also, i have a long weekend. Today off from school.  I hope to get in some benches worth posting on the bot.

yea I got to get some dice gear just found out one of my neighbors owns an ice cream supply shop. Dice is only 10 bucks a pound how long would that last. Its gotta last 5 or 6 hours huh. Ive worked with it before but never like this.

$10/lb is not a very good price. At this place: http://www.continentalcarbonic.com/dryice/sales.php it's as cheap as $1/lb. They have different locations around the country. Hopefully one is close to you. Also, based on this thread: http://www.411overkill.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=80&t=3581 , 10lbs of DICE will last about 5 hours. Of course YMMV a bit with this, depending on the pot and the conditions around you.

Now I just need a spare rig to run the conference.. Hmm. I have an old POS hp but something's wrong with it. The colors are weird.. And I don't have a monitor for it.. But I suppose I could just run it via VGA and run my main via DVI, then just switch if needed.. Hmm. Might just spend a few $ and make an itty bitty acrylic rig.. That's tempting. Could do a lot of webrowsing on it.. I think I'm rambling on a bit here. lol.

No, that is what it says in the thread. Remember now that the DICE will be used up a ton faster than if you let a chunk just sit out on a table. You are purposely increasing the speed of the sublimation of the DICE by a lot, to cool your cpu (and/or gpu). The heat of the cpu goes into the pot, then the DICE, causing to sublimate the DICE faster, but in the process, exchanging its heat with the DICE, therefore keeping the cpu very cold. Think of it like regular ice. If you put regular ice on the table, yes it will melt, but will take a while. If you put a heat source touching it, it will melt x-times faster, depending on the heat temperature, but in the process, cool down the heat source. A good example would be holding a piece of ice. It melts much faster in your hand than on a table because your hand is x-times warmer than the table. Your hand in the process gets very cold though, from the heat exchange between your hand to the ice(heat going out of your hand into the ice). Halo_003

Reg, you only need a link for top 20. And you can use any driver you want. Does not have to be FM approved...any driver goes at HWbot!

Well ill try thats what I was hoping for Ive been going back and forth with the online support but thats a pita I cant beleave he tried telling me it was a better card. Im sure ill have to wait to resolve this on Monday. I would just keep it if I thought I could sell it for a decent price but I just picked one up for 35 bucks shipped so that means brand new it might be worth 40. johnksss
