I'm just kidding, John. It was in reference to where you got the vid cards. You know, you could do that with on-line sites too, I guess, but then you'd have to pay shipping also.
well...they really do charge a restocking fee..allot of stores don't. and i would get a low end card and just upgrade myself up the ranks. i got that 240 because i thought it would be a good physx card while i waited on my 5970..that piece of junk got the boot when i seen the 9800 gt out doing it...lol, so i traded it up on my 5970 when it came in.

I was thinking about doing that at best buy. I hate that store but god are they dumb I think they will give a full refund just tell the geek squad hack that you needed an agp card. He will give you money and look at you like your the dumb one. There is 3 or 4 on my way to work I can hop around. ........ all for bot points

Never benched it on air, and those scores I got were just about all a pretty good clocker could take. I fried it doing those runs.

Q was talking about Halo's DICE/LN2 cpu pot design. About affinity, I thought SuperPi was a single-threaded program? So multiple threads/processors wouldn't do anything.

Hit a brick wall running insane clocks and its not helping my vantage score at all. Bottleneck??? Ram most likely can only run it at around 670 8-7-8??? What do you guys think? Just did a run with gpu clocks at 1115/1350 and it was just a hair UNDER my best run.

Holy crap! That is one fast 8500GT!  Excellent! Now if only you can tell me how to get a 1180 285 going good. I don't have the right cooling obviously, but these things are garbage none-the-less as far as I am concerned. The voltage regulators just plain suck. I wish I had a way of monitoring voltage regulator temperature. Seeing how cheap and abundant the GTS 250's are right now, I am half tempted to pick up two or three for modding fun.

Because the entire computer will be outside soon enough  That way I can avoid doing insulation (just need to ensure dew point is below ambient), tearing down my rig, AND my GPU's will run a lot cooler too. Ill need to get a little red flyer wagon to hall the thing out of my room. The thing probably weighs close to what I do  Also, I think I might have found out where my DICE pot went. My waterblock from iride4u tracking says they left a slip in our mailbox on the 13th, yet we never got said slip. So its supposedly at the post office waiting for one of us to go pick it up. I think my DICE pot met the same faith. So with a lot of luck, when my dad goes to the post office after work tomorrow my pot will be there too  I should be able to test the loop Friday evening, but I dont think ill get my Ultra Kaze's until Monday. I think I might just do a 72 hour leak test instead of just running the three antec fans for a day. That way I can be super sure im not going to spring a leak  Congrats Nate!!!!!! I think you need to try out 06\05 etc for more benching greatness. You should also put those NASA soldering skills to work and do something hardcore to a GPU like a 9800GT\9600GT. Say, some rubycon caps and a good Vmod on it. Than pickup a universal waterblock, and some RAM sinks.
