I may be wrong about the exact score, But I sure don't see his score listed in the Fire Strike Ultra HOF!

Definitely looks that way to me as far as the GP104 series cards go. Should be better with the GP102 series, But Still won't have the "Big" GP100 chip in any Top desktop card.

I for sure have to go there. Just a matter of what do do about this other stuff. Test more cards or return and wait it out.

lol, It is a tough choice to make.

Until I see better results from others in the near future that try to run 4-way SLI with the GP104 1080's, I'll be waiting it out and just continue with my reference cards testing in 2-way.

I want to add water to see if they get better. Right now being on air, these suckers are hard to keep locked at one voltage point.

My cards run 30C - 35C while loaded during bench runs using 10C chilled water, But even when I set the Precision X OC voltage adjustment to 100% (giving me 1.0620v), I still see fluctuations in card OC's and voltage.
The only way I see the OC's stay close to being locked is when I use the K-Boost feature, But even that doesn't guarantee it won't drift somewhat!

Problem number 1. 1.0625 is not your max. 1.094 is.
1: drop sli for the moment.
2: use msi afterburner 4.3 beta 4 for gtx 1080's.
3: use the curve.
4: use L key to set the voltage to say 1.081. You will move the ball going up and stop at about 2113 for 2101. Then hit the L key and apply.
5: move the core speed up to your stable 2100 or so and click apply. It may move so you will need to play with this for a minute.
6: now you have just locked 2.1 ghz to voltage point of 1.081 for card 1.
7: do not move memory, you are only trying to find highest stable clock and voltage for core.
8: set power and voltage to max.
Run a single gpu only test to see if you can get it figured out first.

Then report back.

Also, to get that curve window to come up you will need to hit CTRL F on the monitor window.

OK, Will give it a try.
It may take me a few times to get use to setting OC's in afterburner.

you can do it with precision as well, but it doesnt seem to work well for me and the gigabyte cards. voltage jumps all over the place and the cards will crash.

You forgot to set the top slider to 100 percent. Or that screen shot was an after thought.

I just looked again...give me a few to set mine up and screen shot it.

Thanks, I appreciate the screen shot John, But NOW apparently I'm having issues with my RVE failing to Boot!

Looks like I'm going to have to take off the SS and see if I have a condensation problem somewhere which is why you see an "Under Construction" on my previous post.

Re:Get It Colder......2 2016/06/19 13:51:31 (permalink)
Ok, Didn't find any condensation problems, Seems I lost my SATA MB connectors and no SSD's were recognized at Boot!
After reassembling everything, Uninstalled afterburner due to it causing some weird screen lockups while sitting idle in the desktop (Not while Benching) and re-installed Precision X OC so I could see the actual Vcore while running Benchmarks and Yes, The Voltages DO jump all around from what I set and not stable at All!
Going to take a break for today and maybe start testing again sometime tomorrow.

Forgot to add that the voltages are varying between a range of 964mV - 1081mV during Fire Strike Benches, So I AM reaching higher voltages than the 1062mV I thought was my limit!

Like you stated John, It's one thing to set the voltage and another thing to Lock them there.
