I was thinking, you don't have to put the caps under the board, but put them on "extensions." solder leads to the board, and to the caps. with them out of the way... you don't have to worry about anything really. You could make the best VR blocks ever.

voklskier4452 The board is already going to be modified so that i can raise pcie clock past 103. Not sure i like the idea of moving a cap around to the back but it may be a possibility. Man... you have to really love that board to put that much work into it! Why not just spend the time working a second job and get a Classified. I know the Bloodrage used to be "THE" board to have... but isn't it a little out dated?

You could make the best VR blocks ever. I thought about that too. But how much resistance would the wires/extra connections have? Also, would you just leave those caps hanging off the board, or would you mount them somewhere? If vokl tries it and it works it is great, and makes making a water block that much easier. if it doesn't work, well that sucks.

Lol.. the mod really is worth it to unlock the full potential of that board, with the mod the BR can hang with the classy at a fraction of the cost ;)

I guess if you really want to keep the Bloodrage and take the time to mod it and build a custom water block for it... then you have my blessings! I just hope you really want it that bad... because it doesn't make sense to me... at least you can say you have one of a kind!

Trust me. Use the pour and an old paint brush. Don't brush, just spread real thick. Much easier removal if you have to.

Modding it really isn't that difficult, I just don't have the proper tools or the practice to do it. I tend to buy things based on the product itself not the warranty. The BR GTI fits me perfectly: 2 PCIE slots, Plenty of power to clock the ram and CPU to the moon. Besides the features of the classy would just be wasted on current i7 chips, now when i9 comes out you will see me move up ;)
