They are supposed to be thrown out... but a lot of them get carried out in employees pockets.

Nice one overclocker.  Mind posting your settings to see if we can't get that core voltage down some.

Ya... I will try and post a sceen of the Eleet votages and maybe a full bios template.  It would be great to get that insane  voltage down... but honestly... I don't think it will happen for 5.2ghz.  I would never run it like this for long of coarse... just for HWBot.
 
By the way "Doc"  is there anyway we can get you to change your HWBot team to EVGA?

is your 295 on air?  why don't you increase your GPU clocks a bit. 

It was only on air at the time, it couldn't handle nature at anything higher sadly.  Like I said I'm working on finding a new 295 that will be under chilled water with my e8600 under DICE on meh new REX  (stupid Blackops couldn't give me any more than 545fsb through 01)

In response to john,  I did use a voltage tuner, but the card just wasn't that good a clocker.  It would fold at 700 all day but it couldn't get me through 01 at much higher clocks than what i posted.


I also have one of the top 20 4890 runs for 01, but I figured all you evga boys wouldn't like to see that.

i know you can get between 720 to 750 or so...but i forget...it's been so long and i forgot what i was doing when i did those runs.

01 thru 06 takes far less voltage to run...you sort have to start from like 1100. and run the test that crashes the most. once you get the voltage right and the test passes...then go up in clocks..5 mhz at a time...it's time consuming.

Could be, that run was made months ago.  Knowing what I do now 100k should have been easy, but I wasn't really using any tweaks to help me up my scores.

1: change your os to windows 7 anything
2: run 190.56 drivers
3: i think you will break it then.(speculation of course)

XP is still king of 01

I'm going to be using XSOS (stripped out version of XP) Along with some other (super secret) tricks to get my score over 100k on my 4890... Higher scores with a 295 will come if and when I find one.

HAHA I was one of the originals on that HWBot team when it 1st started.

XP is still the king of almost all benches 2D and 3D.

only reason I left XP was to do Vantage.  i wish I could get a refund on Vista.  what a HORRIBLE OS.  and the 10,000 point increase with W7 with stock settings  justifies why it is better.

@ OC333, why is your vcore so high? I thought i7s in general stop scaling at about 1.6vcore?
