I have a problem, my GTX 260's are not detecting my monitor only with the DVI port. It is labeled as "Digital Display" under the Nvidia Control Panel instead of VW246H (ASUS VW246H Monitor). It started to happen after I had dusted my PC. The monitors native resolution is at 1920x1080, but the resolution could only max 1280x720 and could not detect the native resolution of 1920x1080. Are there any solutions to this? The DVI port on my GTX 260's work fine when I used the DVI-to-HDMI adapter (The adapter was placed on the GTX 260) and so did my Xbox 360 Slim when I connected the DVI-to-HDMI (Xbox 360 Slim does not have a DVI port, so I connected the adapter to the monitor) to the monitor and displayed full HD resolution. I'm really frustrated right now, can anyone please offer a solution?

Also, during the PC load screen (The screen where you could access the BIOS) where all the Hard drives, DVD Drives, and devices are displayed, the resolutions differ. When I used the HDMI-to-DVI adapter, the boot screen resolution was displayed in the native resolution of 1920x1080. When I used the DVI cable, the boot screen resolutions were enormous.

Is this caused by a faulty DVI cord or something else?

Like you said you might want to try a different cord just to be sure.  That was my first thought.

You also said you were dusting and then this happened.  Could something have gotten into the DVI cord like a dust bunny or something and now it is clogged?  Not sure on that one, but checking it could not hurt.

I'll get on that as soon as possible.

I just tried a new DVI cable and it's still the same. It's detecting my ASUS VW246H Monitor as a Generic non pnp monitor. My Xbox 360 Slim connected through DVI to Hdmi (Dvi connected to the monitor) cable is displayed in native 1080p, but my PC does not want to detect it. Is my monitor broken or any of my drivers?

well..if your monitor was broken it wouldnt do 1080p with anything. so its prob not monitor. from what your saying its sounding like windows is not useing the nvidia drivers and putting the standard windows drivers as default. uninstall the nvidia drivers in safe mode and then reinstall when you reboot and use the 258.96 drivers in 32 bit or 64 bit...whichever your useing. let us know what happens.  \m/

Have you found a solution.  I am having similar issue with my GTX460SC 786mb.  Initially when I installed the graphics card I was able to run 1680x1050 (native resolution on my Westinghouse LCM-22w3).  After updating to current driver on evga website all I can display is 1280x720.  I deleted all previous drivers and re-installed original driver but this did nothing.
