Linked fixed. Yeah no surprise. I think this is something they cant fix or having one hell of a time trying to figure it out. Luckily I don't have this problem. I know a lot of other people do though. Sadly.

Nvidia recommends to change power setting to "prefer maximum performance" as people are still getting the flickering.
Scarlet, G Sync is working here (at least per my monitor)

Not sure what is going on then. With GSync on: CSGO 250 to 350 FPS, Doom 150 to 160 FPS, Mad Max 250fps.

Not using any external software. GSync is enabled, ROG swift monitor, and the frames are running around down whatever they want. GSync even shows enabled in the monitor menu, so it should be working.

Not going to work over your monitors max refresh have to set frame limit. Gsync doesn't set cap vsync use to be one with gsync and it capped frames but vsync with gsyn is crap. Or set fast sync but TBH with frames that high i would just cap and enjoy gsync and not use fast sync

I can't repeat this again.. GSYNC ON. Frame rates 250+ GSYNC is not working...... the ROG swift only goes to 144hz.. so, with gsync enabled, 250 isn't possible, as it should cap at 144...

OMG forget it
the point of GSync is that it sync the max refresh rate to the monitor. So, did they mysteriously remove that? Every time I update drivers, GSync enables itself, and it runs the monitors at exactly 144hz or lower (depending on the game). So, if it is enabled, the frame rate should be capped, No? If I have to turn on 4 settings to get the one I paid for to work, it isn't working.

I know I am new here. I believe demo23019 is correct...
G-Sync was originally bound to V-Sync, and no longer is. Correct me if I am wrong, my interpretation of that is that it will NOT cap your frame rates.

That is new to me. I didn't check the last driver update I did, but all the ones I had done previously had it bound. If they removed the bind, then GSync is worthless and it should be fixed. The point of buying GSync was to keep it bound to the max refresh so the motion would be fluid at all times, not so that I can go in and change other settings just to get what I paid for to work lol. I don't tend to update drivers that work when I am not downloading a new game. i recently just updated to 373.06 and it isn't attaching the VSync either, so I am guessing that was where the confusion came in. Now that I know that, I will just use the monitor without GSync. It works fine with the frame rates going over 200 and doesn't cause any noticeable issues. GSync Description: G-Sync is an advanced version of adaptive vertical sync with low latency and no tearing. That needs to be edited as it is not any form of vertical sync now.

Scarlet-Tech, In the Nvidia control panel. They had V-Sync set to on by default setting. So that is why things never went over the refresh and was locked on. I believe these last 2 updates or so. Nvidia went back to default setting of Using 3D app again. So that is why you are seeing what you are seeing now. You can go back and change it to the old default way again if you like. How Nvidia had it before. You just put V-Sync back on in control panel from using 3D app. Or if you want to remain using the updated default they went back to. Cap FPS @135 for 144Hz or use in game vsync with gsync to lock things together with the refresh rate. demo23019 pretty much covered it well.

Have you seen this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzHxhjcE0eQ (11:30 mark on) not to start a debate. Its quite interesting. High fps gsync+vsync had less leg then with vsync off. Its weird. I have been reading and reading up on this. It seems to me. Nvidia made gsync+vsync go hand in hand together and how it suppose to work by design. I don't know....  I love gsync talk. Makes my head spin every time.

Flicker on desktop at 144Hz still isn't fixed. Artifacts in videos/gifs appear to be fixed.

FattysGoneWild and Demo. Thank you both greatly. I had no idea they had changed Vsync to off. It all makes sense now, and if I am going to use GSync, I will remember to enable frame cap or vsync. haven't tried the new driver yet but, the flickering for me goes away by changing to 120 and then back again to 144.
it will stay fixed for a while, even in between restarts, then every 3 or 4 days the flickering returns.

These completely broke the ability to fold on my 1080. It loops downloading a new WU, fails before it actually does any work (even at stock settings), the starts the loop again.

Same on my 980ti's. I only kept it for a few minutes and then removed it. The last two drivers are NOT good for folding at all. 373.06 is working perfect though. 2m ppd across the one 1070 and two 980ti's
