I have a Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD card in the PCI-e x1 connection closest to the CPU.  Then immediately next to it I have my GTX970 FTW card in the PCI-e x16 slot.  I was wondering if I move the GTX970 FTW card farther away from the sound blaster card for better cooling to the next PCI-e slot below, will I still get the same performance?  I figure any kind of performance loss would be negligible, that if anything I might get a performance gain from moving it to an area with more air flow cooling the backplate.
