Hey guys, sorry if this has been discussed a ton already.

I've got a GTX770 2GB and thinking of picking up another one. Will I see any performance gains? I only use the PC for gaming. If only like a 10% gain then ill def not go SLI

If you like maximum detail another 770 will help, adding another 770 wont quite double fps but pretty close. At 1080p you should be fine with 2gb of vram also.

Hrmmm so it's sounds like another 770 would only yield like 20-30 more FPS, almost not worth it. Also, I'm not too familiar with how SLI VRAM works, but since ill have 2x 2GB cards, would that mean 4GB VRAM or still just 2GB?

    Thanks.

You will still have 2GB only.

Also keep in mind those are at 5760, expect much better scaling at 1920x1080.

that will depend on many factors: such as the games you play, AA setting you run at, the framerate you want to be playable, etc

I run a single GTX 770 at 1920x1080 and it will play just about anything for the most part at 60fps constant, but I do dip down to the 30 - 40fps range in some demanding situations in certain games such as Borderlands 2 for example cause that game is loaded with PhysX effects.

Metro 2033 and metro last light are also demanding on performance for the same reason, lots of Physics and PhysX effects.

I disagree, I recommend getting a 4GB card cause thier is some games that will go past 2GB at 1080p, I was hitting 2.3GB VRAM in certain games back when I had my 2.56GB GTX 570

2.3GB VRAM?! What game used that? BF3 max settings using all ULTRA and highest AA only uses 1.2-1.5GB VRAM

Also I only plan to play BF4 when it's out at 1920x1080 ultra highest AA.

Honestly I hate playing at 60fps it's horrible! I can't play unless its 80+ fps I can totally feel at a disadvantage running 60fps; it feels too slow movement and reaction time wise.

2.3GB vram is after playing open world games for several hours, as you move around the map and change levels it will cache the data to the vram so it loads quicker when you return to the same area. (skyrim for example)

Also I have to use 60fps cause thats my monitor refresh rate, I could run higher FPS of course with disabling vsync but at the cost of screen tearing which I prefer not to have. One of these days I will get a 120hz monitor but they are still out of my price range.
