I was looking on  for a compatible waterblock for 06G-P4-4995, and i see that there are 2 different results for that card.. A reference PCB and a custom.. Now i'm a bit confused, and befor i order my new EVGA i'd like to know what versions goes with waterbloks and which i should avoid. Already spent 500$+ on my casebuild and had to return a FTW, so i'd like to get the right cards this time around.

Rulz for m0drs -  Clean is cool.. But much more work to make a minimum of details!

Use this to get the right waterblock for your GPU: https://www.ekwb.com/configurator/

Hello Sn3akr, and welcome to the forums! The FTW and Classified use a custom PCB, and the SC+ uses the reference layout. For example, you can see OUR WATERBLOCK is compatible with the 980 Ti Gaming and the SC+.

I did.. But when i search for 06G-P4-4995 (EKWB search thingy finds nothing if i add the -KR) it shows 2 options, one reference, with lots of fitting blocks and 1 with EVGA-PCB and 0 fullcover blocks.

So my confusion was, if there was 2 different versions of the 06G-P4-4995-KR.

Hello Sn3akr,

Welcome to the forums, I can confirm that video card has a reference PCB board. Only the FTW, Classified and the Kingpin has a custom PCB board.

Thank you very much. Then i can get on with my purchase

#Brandon S - I would love the EVGA waterblock, but with a pricetag that's 25%+taxes higher than what i'll have to pay for aftermarket here in denmark, then economy tells me that it's not an option sadly

Yeah, that's understandable. It was more to show that the SC+ uses a reference layout. As for the EK site, it looks like there are 2 options: The first is the card-specific full-cover block, and the other is a universal block that will fit on most cards, but will not be full coverage.

Hi Brandon,

I'm looking into water cooling my system, and I decided to go all out by water cooling my 980 Ti along with my CPU and rigid tubing. I ran into the same confusion as OP with the PCB's, so that's one question answered.

Do you, or anyone for that matter, know if EVGA's 980 Ti Hydro Copper Waterblock will be available sometime in the next month or two? It's currently set to Auto Notify. I remember ages waiting for EVGA's 980 Ti to finally be available (then I regretted not waiting one more month for the 980 Ti Classified edition, but that's another story, lol). I have no problem waiting one month or two, because I'm not buying everything at once. I just want to know if I'll need to buy EKWB's TitanX Waterblock for the 980 Ti instead.

Bonus question: Does anyone know if EKWB's Titan X Waterblock for the 980 Ti is any better than EVGA's 980 Ti Hydro Copper Waterblock? I know both are made by EKWB, but this will be my first water cooling endeavor and want to learn as much as I can. I've been reading that EVGA's old Hydro Copper line (the 780's) had poor performance when it came to cooling VRM's, but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Im curious as to how the current Hydro Copper compares to other blocks.
