GTX 980 SLI black screen COD AW

Hey all.

I have the machine in my sig that I just built yesterday.

I'm trying to play COD AW multi player, but in SLI mode, I get a black screen. If I disable SLI, it works fine. I have the latest drivers installed.

I've tried going in and changing the video settings to match my resolution and frame rate, then enabling sli, which didn't work.

I'm at a loss. Any ideas?

    As another test, I tried running the heaven benchmark..., black screen and crash in SLI..., works fine with SLI disabled.
     
    I'm going to try testing the second card alone. There are no indications of issues with either card in the device manager.

    That didn't work, but moving the bridge to the other set of connectors did.
     
    That leads me to the question..., should I worry about it? IE try to figure out which card might have a bad bridge connector, and RMA it? Is it possible to figure out which is bad?

    That is a good question and really don't know those answers.
    If someone with more knowledge doesn't reply, i would contact cust support and ask them Monday.

    You can also try turning the bridge upside down if it is a flexible bridge. Sometimes that works.

    Thank you! Yeah I'll check with EVGA when they're open next week.

    I'm mainly concerned with the inevitability of selling these cards, I wouldn't want to sell something that isn't 100%.

    Welcome to the broken sli setup club, I finally got 2 way sli to work yesterday with horrible scores but when I added another Gtx9 980 3 way sli..same symptoms Red or black screen of deaf, they need to solve this quickly because I'm not a very patience man.

    Well mine is running like a champ now. 20799 3dmark fire score. Like I said above, though, I'm concerned about one of these cards having a bad bridge connector as far as future sales go. I'll call EVGA Monday and see what they think.

    I would definitely send for rma if im in your situation...as a bad bridge connector would means adding a 3rd 980 for tri sli a problem as u'll be utilising both top n bottom connector. But if sli is where your comfortable with...then save the hassle.
