GTX 980 SC Serial Problem

Hi before I start please forgive me if I fail to follow protocol this is my first post after owing an evga card for the first time.
I must say that this card has been awesome for playing any game I have on max settings
I purchased this card around 6 months ago all was going well till last night when there was a big flash and then nothing I have read several forums about warranty and RMA and have discovered that I have a problem as the serial No on my card is not recognised in fact doesn't look like any of the ones you show as an example so I am lost as what to do I have uploaded a pic of card damage and labels on card

    Serial number is clearly missing.

    We do apologize for any issues with your graphics card. Please send a clear picture of the front and back of the graphics card and the invoice to support@evga.com and we can try and retrieve the serial number for you.
