Hello everyone
I thought I read somewhere that the GTX 980's can be used in either PCI-e2.0 16x or 3.0... but the specifications on the on the data sheet just lists PCI-e 3.0.
Interface
                PCI-E 3.0 16x
                DVI-I, DisplayPort, DisplayPort, DisplayPort, HDMI

Question, can these cards be used on a PCI-e2.0 16x board? and would there be any compatibility issues if done so?
Thank you in advance

Yes, it's backwards compatible with PCIe 2.0.
