That's nice result for air. Nice is not proper word, excellent. You don't need to wait nothing... That card should be under water and if you find EVBot you should buy him because that card deserve.

What kind of OC's have you guys been able to get with your GTX 980 Kingpin on stock voltage ?
Also anyone else have any coil whine while gaming that is loader then the fans?

I haven't heard any coil wine...yet. I did just have my LED's go out like the other guy who was posting earlier but I wasn't gaming they just randomly went out...hope that doesn't become a normal occurrence. I can barely overclock this card on air tbh. I don't understand how these other posters got much much better chips than me :[ I cant even get past 1500MHz on the clock without crashing a game of DotA. lame

My first card had the LED's go out I then put in a new card and problem stopped. I haven't heard any coil wine and is the quietest 980 I've had (coming from a 980 hof, msi, and refernce) even overclocked. I've been able to get +100 on core and memory anything over on stock voltage starts to show artifacts or a complete freeze. Overall love the look and performance of the card but the hof seems to match it even overclocked and that's 100+ cheaper but kingpin seems almost totally silent in my case and looks better too.

Really this card with LEDs look incredible, no words really.
Is it possible to leave LEDs to stay on one or two color, white or red?

I'm looking for some tips on OC-ing this beast. Set the bios switch to OC and increase the offset's in increments of 5 with Precision X? should I work with the GPU/mem clock at the same time or GPU clock, then the mem clock?

My coil whine is a good bit loader then the fans on this card, also I to noticed yesterday that my LED's flickered off for about 2 seconds then back on. This happened once while gaming and the other two times at the deck top. I have not done a lot of OC'ing yet but with stock voltage I was able to pass fire strike and a few games with 1521MHz. Still not sure about this card only having an ASIC of 69% and doing well going any higher with OC'ing on air.

I think score would be same with 4820K and 5820K or very similar.
Graphics score would be same, I believe.

What's the concensus on this card when it comes to coil whine? Just had to dump my strix 980 and intrested in this card. I know all brands of cards can have whine but i rather not go thru it again.

GTX780Ti KPE didn't had at all problems with coil whine.
Maybe something rear but I didn't read for single case.

I have been running games for the last week with no luck in reducing the coil whine, also ran about 4 hours of fire strike. They did recommend doing the same but I had be told by people to try that out prior to contacting EVGA. I had another PSU sitting around that I tried (corsair hx750) as well with no change. Tomorrow I have my second Kingpin arriving that I will test out. Tuesday my replacement card from EVGA will be arriving, I am hoping both new cards have no issues and will report back with results.
