Any word on availability of these? They were selling them $799 at newegg just a couple days ago but they ran out of stock there and out of stock on evga site here. Can't find them anywhere else. I didn't have the money at the time when they were in stock, and they just happen to sell out right when i get the money put together lol. I'm debating whether to get two of these or two Superclocked 980s. I need a card for my college classes soon though so if they aren't gonna be in stock for a long time i don't know if i can wait. 
 
I figured i can always go with the EK thermosphere universal waterblock or air cool till EK comes out with a full cover block, although i do dislike the look of tiny blocks like that. I'd much rather have a full cover block like the EK original CSQ block that fits on the reference pcb of like the superclocked. But i'm itching for these kingpins, so it's a tough choice. Also, anybody have any info on performance of these KPE vs a 980 SC or the 980 Classified? Gaming wise as well as like firestrike benchmarks i mean.

I've only been able to game on it for one day but I haven't noticed the LEDs go out during that time. I will try to keep a closer eye on it though and report back if I experience the same issue. Fingers crossed its just a software issue rather than you needing a replacement card. 

I guess you could try unplugging the power connector to the card from the heatsink and then reconnect it and see if that helps (I haven't actually checked to see where that connector is but it should be accessible). But yea if it has nothing to with Evga Precision I doubt its software related :[...unless the card stores information that was initially done through the application. What settings/colors are you using for the LED configuration I can try to mimic it and see if that has any effect on my card. Right now I have status turned off and the rest on Static On Red.   

I have been gaming at 1511 core 500 mem no LED issues.

I never get lucky! I can only achieve +105MHz on the clock and +300MHz on the mem without furmark crashing :[ How the heck are you getting +182/+700!! grrr lol

Money from Z77 I will save for water-cooling, first processor only and later graphic card.
I will not be able to play games longer time, but never mind.
ASUS show some USB 3.1 PCI-E card for Rampage 5 Extreme, that mean R5E Black will have controller probably.
He was ready before few months from ASMedia...

Yups, still on Z77/3770K here also, but it's a sweet CPU, boots to 5.2Ghz, stable at 5.0Ghz on air and AIO, been underwater custom water for only 6months, love the temps and the pump is isolated/decoupled so the system is inaudible at 30inches, only the whoosh of slow moving 600rpm demciflex filtered air thru the fans.
 
Going on 3years this July with the Maximus V Extreme board, will keep using this Z77 rig, while building the X99 with EVGA 980 Kingpin going on in the background. Moving from a single 360mm rad to two 240mm rads, should be enough for a 6-core CPU and single 980 graphics.

Any owners having a problem with the LEDs going out at random when playing a game, not sure if that is normal but the only way to get them to go back on is a cold boot? Other than that this card is awesome but at default my galax HOF is beating it by 3-4fps on average but I would hope that this should overclock much better than the HOF just haven't had time to push it.

Which LED in particular, and can you post a screenshot of Precision (with your LED settings?)

I gave a call to support and they haven't seen the problem I tired reinstalling evga precision and drivers but nothing helped and i'm using a 1300w evga psu so power shouldn't be the problem. So.... I actually bought 2 but didn't want to open the 2nd one but I knew this was the best way to find out if the card is the problem.  I installed the 2nd card I bought and the problem has been gone, I've played 3-4 games for more than 15min and led lights stay lit the way I set them. :)
