GTX 980 FTW ACX2.0 fan

Hi guys, question, is it normal for the fan on my card to run rampant (100% most likely) upon bootup and through bios screen?  It dies down during the windows launch screen.  I have had it for a week and has done it everytime during this period.  Just wanted to make sure something isn't wrong.

    I have the same card, my card boots with the fan at 100% and then once the OS starts loading it dies back down to 0%. I think this is normal.

    Yeah, I think all cards do that. It has to be some kind of test to ensure the fans are working?

    Normal for ACX cards. Reference blower style cards don't do it.
