Hello. I am having FPS drops, freezing and stuttering problems with my pc in like all games. BF4, Civ 5, DayZ, Arma 3, Dragon Age even euro truck simulator.

- Just bought this rig, formatted and freshly installed win 8.1 64 bit and all updated drivers.

- Cpu and Gpu Temps are Normal.
- Gpu not overclocked.
- No background applications running maybe only browsers
- HDD and SSD bad sector scanned.. Some games are in SSD, Some are in HDD. Windows installed in SSD C drive.
- Nvidia lastest drivers installed. Newly formatted.
- Tried stock cpu clocks.
- Ram xmp profile selected 1.
- Tried without msi after burner still same.
- Integrated Graphics are disabled in Bios
- Nvidia control panel max performance mode selected also in windows power settings..
- All games are original, from steam and origin and all updated.

Recheck this with the CPU and memory at default levels.

Have you tried turning off the osd and running battlefield in 64bit? I and many others have been experiencing the drop to 0% gpu usage bug for a while but we mostly have 700 series cards. It seems to only effect 780/ti/titan/black cards but could also effect 900 series cards. I remember seeing a thread on the geforce forums running a 980 same thing would happen to him. He said it ended up being his HDD as he saw disk usage drop whenever the GPU usage dropped. Games installed on your tb? Maybe install on your ssd and test?

origin in-game disabled? uninstall afterburner/precisionx? it could be the drivers atm. i've been experiencing the same problem as you for a while with my 2 780 ti's. the only driver that removes the stutter/drop is 331.82 or 331.93 but the driver is over a year old and might not work with your 970 even if you mod the ini file

Nice OP very informative about your system. That being said the most I can advice you with would be testing your GPU in another working PC to be certain if it's the culprit.

    System: 7820X - MSI X299 Carbon AC - G.Skill 32Gb TridentZ 3200 - EVGA 1080 Ti - 500 Gb Samsung 970 EVO , 2Tb Crucial MX500, 2Tb, 3Tb, 4Tb Seagate - Seasonic 1000W Prime - Creative Sound Blaster Z - Windows 10 Pro 64 - Phanteks Enthoo Primo - Edifier S530D - Acer Predator XB271HU (1440p)

    Watercooling loop: Heatkiller CPU - EK 1080 Ti - Swiftech MCP 655 with EK X-Top v2 - XSPC reservoir - Alphacool 480 x2
