GTX 970 SSC and error graphics card has recovered - something like that

I have Direcx12, Windows 10, all drivers installed and completely updated.  Started up the Witcher 3 on my previous settings and the game crashes - Your graphics card has recovered from the issue and will now be restarted.  Using other games that have not been released this year work wonderfully.  I am using surround (which updated after a restart) and while in game graphics run very smoothly.  Any ideas on why this is happening?  Thanks

    Lots of things it could be... Windows 10 issue, graphics driver issue, game issue, unstable factory overclock on gpu, unstable overclocks in general, etc. If it's only happening on the witcher 3 then it's most likely just a game issue.

    Check if the game is running in Fullscreen mode and not borderless in the Graphics settings. After 1.07 patch some settings were altered.
     
    Same card as you and had the same problem
