Hi everyone,
I bought a
Evga GTX 970 SC ACX 2.0 from amazon in
January 2015. I have not been gaming on it much, recently i keep on having these random blackscreen where the only way to get out of it is to do a hard restart. When It blackscreens (monitor goes to powersaved mode) i can still here the in-game voices and game noise (i think that indicates windows did not crash)
It happens when i play on all the games such as witcher 3, Battlefield 4 etc.
Things i have done:-booted in safemode uninstall Nvidia driver with DDUV96 and did a clean install of
DRIVER 361.75 WHQL = still blackscreen
-done some reliability test ( AIDA 64) to phase out if its a cpu problem
-updated motherboard bios to latest
version F7-did memtest
-Down-clocked gpu core clock and memory clock to a stock GTX 970 using afterburner i.e core clock - 1050 = still blackscreen
-Tried clean install windows 7 64bit
-Tried to set powerlimit to 110% using afterburner = still blackscreen
