Hello! Guys,

I actually just got 2 new GTX 970 for my computer.  However, there are some sort of problem, where whenever I put 2 of them into my motherboard, it does not boot window.  It will forcibly reboot itself right before it reach the Window 7 Animation Logo Screen.  And I'm not sure how to fix it.  Having just 1 GTX 970 would let me boot into window.  Another interesting note is that, I also got new Coursair Vengance  2 of: 2x4GB 1600mhz RAMs;  When the problem first showed up, I thought it was the RAM problem, so I use my old RAM, and it turns out is not the case.  However, something interesting happen, is where, if I only have 2GB (1 stick *old RAM*) of RAM in just 1 Slot, it will let me boot window with both of the GTX 970 in it.  But if I have more than 2GB (*old RAM*) it will not. Same thing with new RAM, it wont even let me even if I had 1 stick of the New RAM of 4GB. If you guys are wondering, I'm using a EVGA x58 FTW3 motherboard.  I just updated my BIOs as well as the chipset, but still not be able to fix that problem.

Please advice :/

Which version of Windows are you using?

Also, try going into your motherboard BIOS, into the Frequency/Voltage control menu, Memory Feature, and change the Mem Low Gap setting to 3G.  See if that helps.

The Mem Low Gap setting is kind of like an AGP Aperture Size setting, if you remember how that worked with AGP cards.  It affects the memory resources available to the board and reporting those resources to Windows.  With the 900 series, due to each card having 4GB of Vram, it seems like the X58 chipset can get tied up a bit over the resources needed for SLI.  Setting it to 3G seems to be the trick.  This seems to be the case with X58's across different brands, as well.  Fortunately, this is a setting in the EVGA boards that can be changed.

Ah okay! Thank you so much for fixing that for me!  I spent 3hours trying to figure out why and what's wrong with it.  And finally deduce that it might be the graphics card.  thank you!
