Hello! Im new here :) Yesterday i started Witcher 3 with patch 1.04 played it for like 5 minutes and game just stuck then turned off before that my monitor went black and get back again. Ofocurse i had msg saying drivers had problem etc. This happend only in this game and once for now. Other games like cs:go on full graphic settings, starcraft 2 etc. and its ok with those games nothing happens 0 problems. I did test in Evga PrecisionX 16  and nothing happend everything was fine fan rpm went to 1800 temp 76 in this stress test. No artifacts detected. Idle temp like 40-50 no idea if this is ok or not ofcourse fans off. I have no idea if this is my video card problem or just witcher 3. Got latest drivers it cant be that i pluged in my 970 wrong since its working well imo. I think i will test it more but im a little bit scared since i can damage it and i won't get any rma when i overheat it or something worst ;/ Damn im rlly sad about this since im not rich or something i collected money hard working for pc and this card and always something bad happens to me heh ^^ I hope it wont need rma yet ;/

Mobo: Asrock z97 pro 4
PSU: Thermaltake SE 530W 80+ Bronze
GPU: EVGA GTX 970 SSC ACX 2.0+

    Kemzy, EVGA has one of the best RMA's, i wouldnt worry if it ends up going down that road. Do some other tests on other games to see if you get the same result.

    So you are sure this is game/driver? What about temperatures idle no fans 50C is it normal and during gameplay 60 or so? and Fans like 800 rpm a little more sometimes? Im asking such questions since i dont want to rma so fast heh :) Ofcourse im gonna test it more.

    There are a lot of people having this same type of issue with Nvidia's latest driver release.  Crashing, driver stopped responding and recovered, etc...

    Yes, just have a look around on the forums here and you will see. Temps are normal as the fans don't spin up until 60-65C.

    Hey Kemzy, I just bought the same gpu as you about 1 month ago...
    I'm wondering what kind of case you have ?
    How many fans ? good air flow ?
    When I run my pc on desktop, 1080p, my idle gpu temp is around
    33 c... ,  if I run benchmarks  card will get to 72 c and drop back
    down to 33 c after a while..
    Room temp here is about 80 F ... 
     

    10700, msi z590 mb ,16gig ram, 3070ti ftw3 ultra, win 10  , crucial m.2's
