The GTX 780 classified, will not fit in an ASUS Mobo (PT6 Deluxe, v2), in an ANTEC P182 case because the card display ports do not line up with the case openings.  Any ideas, or do I just look elsewhere for another video card?

Hi and welcome to the Forums...

Something doesn't sound right here.  Can you post any pics of what you're seeing?

I believe there are standard specs that case, mobo, and GPU mfgr's all follow so when put together properly, everything will line up as it should.  If this is not the case with your setup, it would be interesting to see pics.

Will send some pics.... the problem is that the mobo is located in the case so that when the you try to fit the  card into  the slot, the display ports don't match the case openngs, and vice versa.  If the mobo could be moved a bit (up or down, I don't remember which right now), I think it would solve the problem. But that doesn't look feasible.

I notice that all 780 cards have the display ports side by side, so I gather it will be a problem for all of them.

Sorry to have been so stupid.

Stuff happens. The ATX motherboard specification means that all modern computer cases and expansion cards such as graphics cards (all modern ATi and NVIDIA), sound cards, ethernet cards, etc., should fit into the applicable motherboard expansion slot and the output ports should line up with the removable covers in the back of the case (in a few specialized computer cases the orientation of the motherboard may be rotated, but everything should still line up).

That's best conclusion, when you buy newest and best custom graphic card and she can't fit in some 5-10 years old case...
What you do?  Off course change cards and use something not so good and keep your old case.
Even if she can't fit, I would think 1min, than I would order Obsidian 350D or 450D for 90-120$ and keep nice card with nice case.
450D cost 119$ can fit E-ATX, 3x GTX7xx Classified, 1600G2, 360mm radiator on top, 240/280mm radiator on front panel and 240mm on floor and place for Dual Bay reservoir and one case fan on backside.
