To me all smoke and mirrors by Nvidia to keep any form of spotlight away from the 290x.  I'm struggling to find who this card with its price/vram will market to especially if already owning a 780 or Titan.  I know there's always the "because I can" people, but other than that?

well for me I paid 669 for 780 acx and step up to ti card for fully unlocked 780 and offer 27% better shading/texturing/geometry performance over my 780 for $40 is a no brainer!

About 11 bucks (US) cheaper direct from EVGA than the Egg right now.  Just pulled the trigger on a 780ti SC model...

Just jumped to #5 on the step-up list. Ordered a second 780 ti from amazon.

That is because I dropped out they did not move the queue.  I realized that hey $251 vs $51 is not worth it when the 880 will be out next year.

Can you mix a 780 with a TI on sli? Or is that out of the question?

No, they are different GPU's and cannot be mixed in SLI. (Even though they are both GK110, the different configuration of enabled SMXs makes SLI impossible.

Sold my Titan for €725, ordered the 780ti SC today for €679. Not too bad. Just have to wait until end of next week for the Aquacomputer WC block to be released. I don't see this being a loss of money as i'm basically getting a faster card without spending money again, the WC block is optional and will cost me around €120.

When they release the Hydro Copper, will this be available to setup from a 780 Hydro Copper?
If not, then why?

No, because they always normally do reference cards only. They seem to have moved on from the reference thing to include the ACX cooler cards from what I am reading, but those are still just reference clocked cards.

That's great job and very smart move.
I can't tell you how much I will pay to cross on GTX780 Ti Classified because only crazy man can do something like that.
And I would like to know what is with 6GB, it's not absolutely necessary but it's highly recommended.

Of course, I just bought a 780 on eBay YESTERDAY for $450 and this comes out today. /facepalm. Someone convince me that I still made a good purchase...
You did on a "per price" metric, do you really want to spend $250 extra for at most a 15-20% gain?  I don't think I'd facepalm over the opportunity to pay $10 for every percent better which in my opinion is a scam.

Is the Pirates, Heroes and Spies Bundle available with the 780Ti SC?

This site suggests it is: http://www.geforce.co.uk/three-game-gtx-bundle
But I can't see mention of it on my favourite e-tailer site: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/3gb-evga-gtx-780-ti-superclocked-28nm-pcie-30-%28x16%29-7000mhz-gddr5-gpu-980mhz-boost-1046mhz-cores-288

Very interested in this card as a replacement for my SLI GTX 570 SC cards

Thanks

If there is a 6gb card will there be a step up for it?  I know nothing has been officially announced but I am currently 7th in the que, but I am worried about the lack of VRAM, I am looking to move to a 4k display within the year.

Do you know how I will pay because I didn't understood NVIDIA politic immediately and all life I always choose full complete chip.
I talk and here before few months, but now I understand full GK110 for super computers no way for US and than what I decide to follow NVIDIA thinking he is expensive and better than AMD and I payed 200e more than R9-290X.
But now to cross on full chip I will pay about 300 euro, 450$. Almost GTX770 more than GTX770 if we count USA price. And I will try hard to do that but I look with different eyes on NVIDIA and never ever in life recommend NVIDIA to someone, never and all who decide to go on AMD because he don't like NVIDIA politic have my strong support if he can to leave with little bigger driver problems and not so fluid gameplay.
No reason to think on stock, hot and loud AMD because and they will launch their best models with much better memory than on mine ultra premium NVIDIA most famous model. I can't live with that with happy next two years. Simple reason, because I try hard to play with Classified. You must to like something very much to smuggle over border graphic card and pay 150e more than same chip from other brand and than when you see what NVIDIA do that heart very much.

Now only stay to see specification of GTX780Ti Classified.

I would not recommend you getting 3GB VRAM for 4K. If you have to buy a GPU now you would be better off grabbing a Titan at a discount. I've been waiting for a fully enabled GK110 part since the Titan came out and will continue to wait for a fully enabled part with enough VRAM, which 3GB surely is not.

If I was just to stay with my current 1440p single set up I should be ok?

Classified will be rather limited so likely will not be available for stepup.

For me that would be a shame and I'm quite disappointed. I bought a EVGA 780 Classy and for sure because the possibility to Step Up to the best option available on the market. When there will be a 780TI Classified available for new customers but not for me as existing  customer via STEP UP program I will never buy a EVGA product again for sure. The market policy from NVIDA towards customers is already sad but now EVGA?

How limited are they going to be? I plan on getting one for my future build but it will probably be around the first of the year before I have the money saved up. Will they still be available then?

I agree, it's pretty stupid. We buy your best 780 and we can only step up like we bought your cheapest card. If we bought Classified 780's we should be able to Step Up to Classified 780 Ti's!

Right now I don't see the point in losing the waterblock on my 780 Classy Hydro just to get a reference 780Ti. Seems like a Step Down more than a Step Up!

Step Up to 780ti Classy = not possible

That is just laughable, for me the Step Up program was the number one reason for a purchase!
