mwparrish Would love to step up to the 780 ti from my two 760s. Two questions though:
- If I step up to the 780 ti, can I add buy the ACX cooler for it later?
- If not, will the 780 ti w/ACX show back up for step-up before 11/18?
I know the 2nd is the tough one to answer. But clarification on the 1st is helpful and shouldn't be hard to confirm.
No and no. The layout of the ti is different so I don't think it would fit correctly. EVGA has never offered a non-reference design card for step-up
Actually, the ACX cooler designs have been available for step-up for the 700 series and is presently the case right now. Further, I realize the design for each card is different. I'm asking if the ACX cooler, designed for the 780 ti, will be available for sale as it was for the Titans but not the case for other models that have an ACX cooler.

Because you have high import taxes and a few other restrictions which forces the price up.

Says the end of the month on overclockers.co.uk , but I'm not sure if that is just a placeholder.

HUmm. Just bought my 780 Classifieds and feel pushing them with EVBot on Air is close to these performance numbers of the Ti (stock!). But, I am really hating the heat being dumped into my chassis from the 780 Classifieds' ACX cooler. I was just debating this morning, "Should I sell off the 780 Classys and go with two used Titans with the 1.3V mod?" But then the Tis get announced, and the NDA lifted on the reviews showing it besting the Titan - a stock Titan that is. I don't mind loosing the $100 per card to step up. Thinking about stepping up one card to do a head-to-head battle between my 780 Classy at 1333 Mhz / 7,800 Mhz memory vs whatever I can get out of the 106% max power target of the 780 Ti (until a custom bios comes out). The only problem in that equation is I need to work on my machine - my machine with tri-monitors with only DVI (meaning, a single card won't get me tri-monitor surround without a DP-DVI-DL adapter, for 120 Hz). Decisions decisions...

Is there any possibility EVGA might be somewhat flexible on the Step-Up window? I bought a 780 ACX on August 1st at full price. Its an awesome card, but I can't shake the feeling that I got beat by nVidia's war with AMD here...

nVidia needs to give the green light for 6GB versions of this card. The 4K results are a little disheartening: http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/gtx_780_ti_sli_geforce_review,23.html The 780 Ti is struggling with increasing FPS with SLI in games like BF4; and in Crysis 3, a single Titan beats a single 780 Ti. I'm sure this is a VRAM issue which can easily be resolved with 6GB of VRAM. Reports have already come out that Battlefield 4 at 4K resolution uses 5.1GB of VRAM. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jn_Ktpyn3z0
That said, EVGA's cards look amazing like always. Can't wait to see what kind of clocks you were able to nail the Classified Hydro Copper down to. I'm also looking forward to how well these cards perform in 4-way SLI configurations. Only have seen SLI benches so far.

Hi, I'm new to the evga coming from galaxy. I will always but evga for now on because there service is without a doubt the best! I just did the step up program on my two gtx 780 acx to the two gtx 780ti with the reference cooler. I'm currently 50 and 51 on the waiting list so I'm pretty excited about getting my new cards hopefully within a months time. The process of the step up program was so easy and I contacted customer support with some questions and I was treated like a KING! I will report back once I receive my new cards>>>>Thanks EVGA!!!

Evga570 OVER PRICED again!
It's not over priced, it out does a titan in EVERYTHING besides the vRAM if anything the Titan is overpriced now.
It's NOT 27% faster than R9 290x but cost 27% more. 1GB less VRAM and will struggle at high resolution. $600 would be a sweet spot. Now I'm waiting for 780 to come down to $450 or less, OR get R9 290 now! I don't have a problem with heat. The GTX 470 had a lot of heat.

Perhaps at 4k or above. Most games today don't come close to using 3GB @ 1080p or 1440p.

To me all smoke and mirrors by Nvidia to keep any form of spotlight away from the 290x. I'm struggling to find who this card with its price/vram will market to especially if already owning a 780 or Titan. I know there's always the "because I can" people, but other than that?
