I'm a little tied between the GPU I'm selecting.
I'm tied between 760 and 770, where the 770 is 78$ more. But is the framerate increase worth it?
I was also trying to decide between CPUs, because price was sorta an issue.
I was considering the i7- 4790k @ 4.4ghz w/ the 760
or i5-4690k @3.9ghz w/ the 770?

I really would like to go with the 4790k and the 770, but is it really worth the money? Any helpful opinions or comparison videos would be very appreciated. Thanks!

It's a crap shoot on 4770k series and below due to the cheap TIM used between the CPU and heat spreader. That is supposed to be the fix with Devils Canyon, better TIM. Either one is a total silicon lottery in the o/c dept.

Look up guru3d and see their review, in Tomb Raider at 1920x1200, the difference in frames for GTX770 and GTX760 is 91 versus 71, or 28%.   If it were me, I'd look at how much money it costs me to gain a certain percentage improvement.  So you're looking at $78 for a 28% gain, or $2.78 per 1% gain.  If that is normal or expected, then only you can justify it, thus can't ask us if it is worth your money since all we know are our own preferences.

I don't know what your previous card was, let's say you had the GTX560 Ti, in which the review did include at 44 frames per second.  If I go to ebay, the average I could sell a GTX560 Ti is $80.  Compared to the Fermi refresh, GTX760 would cost $2.77 per 1% gain while GTX770 would cost $2.34 per 1% gain-- GTX770 is the better deal because the cost per percentage is lower.

Except if you're looking at high-end, it isn't about the money, it is only about performance.  91 fps against 71 fps makes the upgrade for $78 a "duh", who cares what it costs.

For Intel processors, 0.122 x TDP = Continuous Amps at 12v [source].
